Hello, I'm sorry to bother you guys... I posted yesterday about my port pain but sadly no one had any advice or words of wisdom for me (0 replies, so sad) ...anyway, i went ahead and looked it up and bumped into this:

http://www.ehow.com/facts_5989888_pain-over-lap_band-port.html

I'm really scared that may be the case with me. Erosion!? Infection!? omg! why is this happening to me?, i have tried my very best to follow the rules, i really hope that all i need is a slight unfil and not band removal. Has any of you experienced port pain after eating? weird huh? shouldn't it be your band that hurts? .... anyway, i am scheduled at 3:15pm today for an "unfill"...i really hope that is all i need and that they don't find somethin wrong with my band.... please wish me luck.

Ps: here is yesterday's post:

I would be sure you tell the dr exactly how you feel and when you get the pain. Don't assume you need an unfill. Make sure the dr understands what you're going through.

It is interesting that you've had this pain since your last fill, so I really hope nothing is wrong with the port. Pls keep us posted after your appt today.

I'm sorry I didn't reply to your original post. I did see it last night, but was tired and went on to bed thinking someone else would do it. Sorry.

I've had discomfort in my port area after eating, but I can usually attribute it to eating too much. I knew I was eating too much and did it anyway (I'm such a blockhead sometimes) because it kept tasting so good.

However, having discomfort after only 1 bite would concern me. Especially since you report that the last fill left your port area swollen.

Let's hope it's just a tad of overfill and nothing worse. Let us know how it goes.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
