Another in a string of non-scale victories (which is good, because the scale has been lazy lately). I was putting fresh sheets on the bed and when I flicked my wrist, smoothing the sheets out, my wedding ring flew off.

It's been feeling loose for a few weeks, but this time it flew across the room and hit the wall. I don't want to get it sized yet, because I'm only about halfway done losing weight, but I guess I'll move the ring to my middle finger for now. Yay!

That's cute lol. Congratulations! I had to get new glasses because mine were flying off of my face and finally broke.

Haha, I got a really nice watch for hanukkah, and now it's twirling on my wrist. Not exactly where I'd like to lose weight, but I'll take it haha

That is so cool. I remember when I lost weight before I was so excited when the nurse took my blood pressure and the regular size cuff didn't pop off. I don't know why they usually had to let the reg cuff pop off then go get the big cuff. Anyway I was banded 12-29-10 and have lost 26 pounds and being able to use a regular cuff at a doctor check up is one of those things I am looking forward to. Maybe you could tie some fish line around the bottom of your ring to make it fit better until your ready to get it sized.

Congratulations!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
