I was banded on 07/01 and everything has been going great until recently. I am down 55 which is great but the last couple weeks I haven't been getting that full feeling, I stopped losing weight and things are getting stuck.. somedays I am able to eat more than I should but the next day the if I eat the same thing it will get stuck, I thought maybe I wasn't paying attention and not chewing but its been with everything even Soup ! I feel like my dr doesn't listen to me he just comes in fills and leaves I am so frustrated and just need some options... thanks

Sounds like you need a fill despite the stuck episodes. Our bands can be tight one day and not the next. We can eat something one day and it will get stuck the next and fine the day after that. Just something we have to deal with.

Also, change your expectation of 'full'. Eat your allotted amount of food...then wait. I know few people who can go 4-5 hours without feeling hungry. A more reasonable expectation is to go 2.5 hrs, eat a small 'snack' of Protein (hard boiled egg, Protein Drink, or 1-2 oz of protein), wait another 2.5 hrs and then have your meal. If you can do that, then you're good. If you can't, you might need a fill.

hi!

i could have wrote this post. i was banded 7/1 and have lost 54 lbs! i can't complain but i feel the same exact way you do... sometimes i have to stop myself from eating more than i think i should and other days, i can take 2 bites of something and get stuck.

i even feel the same way about my dr appts. i try to voice my concerns so i can get some feedback and they're like 'you're doing great! can you lift up your shirt?'. haha!

i go for a fill next week... good luck to you!

Most of the time I don't feel full until an hour or more after eating.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
