2nd fill down AND I lost!

Recommended Posts

I think I need a new bathroom scale... mine hasn't budged but the dr's says I've lost 8 lbs since my last fill. Needless to say I'm going with the doc's on this! :) any suggestions for models?

Also, I'm difficult to fill. They almost had to do it under xray. Poked around for 10 minutes before getting it in and it hurts like hell when he has to push around so hard to find it. I was so upset for a bit but now relieved they found it.

You may have to replace the batteries for it. The other day my scales told me I put on 10 kilos, so I changed the batteries and it was accurate again. I've lost 6 kilos since my last fill (besides the one yesterday) and when I finally did get my scales working (I'd tried it on 3 different scales) it said I'd lost 2 kilos more than the scales at the surgery. I have a spare set of scales that I hardly ever use because they're hard to turn on, the other is the one I use often and I tried my friend's ones too...They all said the same thing but the surgery ones had put on 2 kilos. They say that every scale is different but I'd tried mine on 3 different scales and it was all the same and the one at the surgery was 2 kilos heavier. They also said that the scales costed 2k and they were incredibly accurate...I dunno what to think...Do they want me to feel insecure about myself so I lose more weight? Isn't that what they used to do in gyms in the 80's? lol. They'd hike up the kilos to make you think you'd put on?

I had the same thing yesterday. He always has to take out the needle and then put it back in again >.< It feels like I'm being stabbed. My port is apparently very deceptive.

I am so glad that my surgeon does his fills under fluoroscopy. I can't even imagine being poked like that....he hits the port on the very first try. I have had 2 fills now....Doc said the last fill should be it!! Good luck.....

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
