I have had my band since April of 2009. I have only lost 42 pounds. I feel like such a loser!! No matter what I try I can not get back on track!! December of 2009 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, so most of 2010 I have been focusing on that, I am ALMOST through with everything to do with the breast cancer. So now I need to get back on track and get this weight moving again. Anyone have any ideas what I can do. I seem to be hungry all the time. I saw my dr. and she said I am in the green zone I will not be getting any more fills. So now it is up to me.:puke:

First of all I hope yours breast cancer is in full remission. You are not a failure. You have spent the last year battling for your life I would not call that a failure . You are a hero in my eyes. As for getting back on track if you are hungry all the time you need a fill. Resintx how does your Dr. know if you are in the green zone?

hopefully others will see this post and help you get going again. Remember to love yourself you are a survivor.

You have had to focus on fighting cancer rather than weight loss. I am glad you are almost at the finish line in terms of the cancer. I don't understand why your doc. thinks your in the green zone when your hungry all the time. Maybe give your doc. clear data on what your eating and how long your staying satisfied. Best wishes!

I agree with the other posters. How does the doc know you are in the green zone since it's different for everyone? Make an appointment, show the doc a diary of foods you have eaten, (make sure they are more solid/protein dense foods), the amounts, how long until you are hungry. If he/she still doesn't want to give you a fill after showing what you can eat, how much and how often, then ask for a referral to another doctor. That band isn't going to do you much good if you can't feel the restriction.

BTW - I really hope your treatment is a resounding success. You've had a tough year...time to get your mind on the future! You can do it!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
