Recommended Posts

Hello guys, Its been a while since I've interacted on this forum...So busy with work n weightloss...but I know how frustrating weightloss can be! I've been banded for a year and 2 months and lost 58 pounds...at times I find myself saying "damn onlyyy 58 pounds?!" but then I gotta tell myself, "wow dats 58 pounds gone instead of plus 58 cuz I kno without this band my ass would of just been gaining n gaining lol...So anyways, be patient guys! N just keep working towards your goal! Dont focus on the amount of time that your losing, just look at the numbers and your LOOK! I weigh 230 but people tell me that I dont look like I weight that much..So I just take it as a compliment n keep loosing...I just wanted to share a few pics just to motivate others bc when I see pics, Im also motivated to do well.

You look great! I know what you mean about people saying you don't look like you weigh ___....I hear that a lot, too, as I am tall I can carry more weight and hide it better, I guess. LOL

Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for posting ur great pics and for ur encouraging words. This forum has saved my life. Everyone is so positive and motivated and that's exactly what I need to stay on track. I believe that I can accomplish anything with hard work and planning and that's what I'm going to do so I too can reach my goal weight and inspire others as you all have inspired me. I had LAPBAND surgery on April 14, 2010, so far so good. I'm down 47 lbs since surgery and pushing forward. Congrats to u all for ur success stories. Keep up the great work.

Hubba hubba!

Congrats!

You look great! It's not about how fast you lose or even how many pounds. It's about how good you feel and how healthy you are.

You've got a great attitude. Keep it up!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
