What to say!?!?!?

Surgery THIS Thursday, 9/2 .......... finally just told my Mom and my best friend this morning .... I've been keeping this MY secret, MY journey, My For ME experience.. but I was afraid that their feelings would be hurt if I didn't AT LEAST fill them in ...... not to mention I probably NEVER would have gotten away with it! Sooo - here I am 41, 5'5", 272 lbs and I'm DOING it!! I'm excited now! I'm taking a positive step, I'm going to be a much healthier me ;o) During our morning walk this I broke the news to my friend and she was so positive about! Her words "I love you just the way you are but I'm glad you're doing what you need to, to be more healthy......" Gotta love that girl eh? So now - I have a little support system, my kids, my mom, my boyfriend and one of my best friends!

Does anyone else feel very personal and protective of this adventure we're on?

I started off being protective and some people still don't know, but I have told more than I thought I would, ie. coworkers.

In any case, it's great that you have such a great support system. It is so helpful to have one throughout the journey.
