what on-line stores are you using for protein?

Recommended Posts

I would love some feedback for purchasing Protein Powder and other pre/post op items on-line. Has anyone used the bariatric pantry?

Coupons anywhere? Specials? Customer service issues?

Thanks!

Hello Butterfly2010-

Last night I ordered for the first time from Bodybuilding.com. They had a great selection of Isopure powders (even Mint chocolate Chip) for $38.99 for a 3lb tub. Cheaper than the local GNC on sale. I was able to google coupons for them which worked great and covered the shipping. Plus I got to select a free item and I picked the Tornado Mixer/shaker. Looks like a battery powered mixed on the mini scale but it's free. I received confirmation today that my order was shipped via FedEx and should be here in 2-3 days.

So far it's been a great experience.

Cathy

I've ordered from Nashua Nutrition and Best Price Nutrition. Also if you call Syntrax they will sell you a sampler with 10 or 11 single packets of their flavors for like $10 with shipping. The number is 1-866-333-7403. Just tell them you are a bariatric patient and would like some samples.< /p>

Hi everyone,

I personally have stuck with what is available at GNC. I have some issues with trusting larger stores and the quality of the products they carry, so I stay with GNC.

I currently have the Isopure and the GNC Amp. I use the Isopure vanilla to mix with my morning smoothies because on its own, it does not taste that great, but mixing with juice and fruit really helps to mask the taste while giving me the nutrients I need.

I use the GNC Amp chocolate and Cookies and cream for dinner. Pay attention to the servings when you look at the nutritional ingredientes. GNC Amp shows the nutrition info for three scoops where Isopure shows it for only one scoop and they are comparable.

With these two, I really have no interest in any other Protein mixes.

Hope this helps!

I called them today and ordered it. It was $13 and she told me it should get to my house in 2-3 days....so will see! Great!

I order my Syntrax Nectar & Labrada Protein Bars from DaMuscle. I think the Bariatric Pantry is more expensive than the other sites I've searched.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
