I love how my body loses weight. That is sarcasm. It is either 1 pound a week or a bunch in a week. I lost 7 pounds from last Monday till today. I was so excited because that means I finally broke out of the 270's. I've been lingering in them for 6 weeks. I want to be at 259 by Christmas, and I'm sitting at 264 right now. I think I'm going to make it. I had so many people at church yesterday asking me how much weight I had lost. It really made me feel good about myself.

Thank you Thsisme for responding to my question. the area is not swollen, red or hot so maybe it is that I am just working the ab muscles which is a good thing :))

thank you

Finally broke my rut and lost another pound. I had to get a tiny unfill on monday. I started experiencing some of those "red zone" too tight symptoms. I'll see him next week to see whether he'll put it back in or leave me be.

I was surprised when I called the doctor's office on Sunday that I was immediately transferred to the "on-call" physician! That never happens, I always have to wait like 3 hours for a call back! On Monday, the receptionist said.....oh no "they will ALWAYS answer unless there are tending to another emergency".........very awesome :)

I hope everyone is doing well and keep your eye on the prize :)

Well I'm up to 6 cc's as of today's fill. I hope it does the trick for me. It took him forever to find my port this time. He was started to worry me but he finally got it.

I just ate a big lump of fresh bread without thinking - and...nothing no problems. I am starting to wonder if that 6mls actually went in to my band after all. They had such a hard time accessing my port and had to use contrast under xray - twice, to put the fill in. It wasn't my Doc and i dont think he withdrew it to check the Fluid was in my band like my surgeon does. My surgeon thought he had put the fluid in previously and withdrew it again to check and it came back a different color and twice the volume so he wasn't in the port, he was in a pocket of fluid around my port, so i just wonder if i actually have any fill cause it doesn't feel like it.

Well at 5.5 cc's I could still eat bread. I'm at 6 cc's as of Tuesday but I haven't tried bread yet.

I told my surgeon I had dumplings at Thanksgiving and he flipped and said that If I could eat dumplings I definitely needed a fill.

Hi Everyone. I was wondering if anyone is having problems with pain by the port area? I do the eliptical and treadmill every morning and when I am exercising I can't even have my pants touch the port area. It feels like nerves are exposed!! Was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I have an appoinyment with my doc on Dec 22nd, but called the office and spoke with the nurse and she said as long as I can swallow Water and food I don't need to be scene earlier. I am just hoping its not an infection. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I'm waiting to hear if my dr is going to move my port. I have port pain with physical exercise too plus my ribs ar under the top of it! I cant sit sideways on the sofa without my port bothering me. Its crazy! Lately the scar is kinda sensitive too.

Let us know what the Dr says about it....I'm curious. Hope the pain eases up.

Hello Yall!

I haven't been on here in a while. Honestly, I think the old LBT was way more user friendly!!

To date I've lost 28 1/2 lbs, have had 2 fills and still have no restriction. I can eat anything! My next fill is Dec 27 so I'll have to make it through Christmas on pure will power! It looks like some of you are in the same boat as me.

When I started this journey, my goal was to lose a total of 55lbs so I'm a lil over halfway there. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm going to be close to goal when I FINALLY get restriction.

Best wishes to all!!

Finally at 6 cc's my restriction is back:) I'm so happy! I hope it stays around for longer than 2 weeks this time.

Yea!!!! I hope it last longer than 2 weeks for you also.

Last week was a horrible food week for me. We had company all week, and I didn't eat right at all. I was just happy that I hadn't gained a single ounce last week. This week though I'm going to be back on track. I've already got my food menu planned for the week.

My port site hurts when I jog or jump. It is very uncomfortable.

My port does hurt if I have been running for a while. It takes a bit after my run for the tenderness and uncomfortable feeling to go away.

Well, went for a follow up at the surgeon after my very eventful fill 2 weeks ago. He didnt have the report from the radiologist and decided to try and add some more Fluid as i have no restriction. He is not certain the fluid went in but thinks it is possible he added another 3 mls to my 6. If i dont feel any restriction by the end of the week i have to have another fill with the radiographer. Any more issues and he wants to do an endoscopy. He is concerned that the fluid coming back is not from my port but if it is a seroma it should be gone by now so he is puzzled by where it is coming from. The fluid coming back is not clear, it is yellowish. All i can do is wait and see.

We were going out to dinner tonight for our anniversary and now i have to have Soup just incase the fill went in.

I hope everyone else is doing OK.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
