Oh my gosh! me too.

just got back from vacation -haven't flown in about five years -the last flight was an embarrassment that I'll never forget!

no set-belt extender! I kept looking down at my lap and judging the distance between the end of me and the room left in the seat. I couldn't believe it!

I have to admit I was like a kid' bucking and unbuckling the seat belt, and every time, giddy.

isn't it wonderful!!

congratulations!

Congratulations!!!!!!

I flew last month and could barely get the seatbelt on but I did it. As uncomfortable as it was, I was going to win!

Congratulations! I am flying 4 weeks from today and I am dreading the flight due to the seat belt situation, I probably will need one. I was at this weight a while ago and did not need one, but I gained weight since then and lost it again, but when I regained it, it all went to my butt it seems, and it hasn't really left there yet.

Congratulations! It's always so much fun, fitting into smaller places that were once too snug. (I was happy to use an airplane bathroom recently--seriously, it was a thrill. Ah, simple pleasures!)

On that same subject. Don't you, or should I say didn't you just hate the ladies rooms that you had to straddle the seat to close the doors and open them again. Glad that I finally am past that stage too!

Congrats! Seems all of us know exactly how you feel. I'm looking forward to do the day when, confronted with any chair, regardless of how narrow, I won't have to worry about being able to sit comfortably in it. I hope to never have aches in the sides of my legs again!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
