Hello Group,

It's me... Made the reservation for Sunday at 1pm at G&M. Here is the web site for those who don't eat seafood http://www.gandmcrabcakes.com/ Hope you can find something you like. But most of all I hope to see everyone there. Please E-mail me a thumbs up if you are coming. I'm sorry this is such a short notice.

Kee - I'm looking forward to meeting you Sunday.

Thanks goes out to the group for helping pull everything together.

HEY GUYS --

I was talking to Teresa the other day and Raquel brought us a simillar topic on an OH thread

http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/LapBand/postdetail/271216.html?vc=0

I was thinking today at the meeting we can discuss this topic.....Practicing / managing better food choices, and practacing bandster rules while eating ( not drinking etc. ).

I was thinking we could talk about this and learn how others deal with these issues. Maybe we can practice the rules today together. I'm a firm believer that since this is new..we must practice to make it routine.

Any thoughts...

Nice to meet you also Kee, glad you came out.

As usual ladies I had a great time. I was a good girl and gave the rest of that crab cake to my sister...it was painful but needed to go.

See ya at the next meeting.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
