:) Anyone else out there feel tired? I was banded November 2009 and have lost 57 lbs so far. I'm currently on blood pressure meds and had blood work done on Friday and asked the doc to see if I’m anemic – everything turned out fine. I was on 2 meds for blood pressure and he removed me from one since its gotten low.

So I was wondering if anyone else has trouble feeling fatigued or tired. I work out 3 times per week – treadmill and yoga and I have a huge vegetable garden that I pick, hoe, and Water. Which is pretty much what I did before the band……except change out gardening with fence building (I have a farm!).

I will be banded for 2 weeks as of tomorrow and I have had a huge problem with fatigue! I figured it was the liquid diet, etc. I hope this doesnt last much longer since im on mushies now. this is not what I signed on for. I feel like I could fall asleep all the time.

No - I think you will be fine.....surgery and the liquids does take a lot out of you! If just seems recently that I'm finding myself more tired. It could also be a reaction to all the dang pollen in the air!

It could also be that I'm far more active than I was before the weight loss! I think I'm doing the same amount of physical activity, but with 57 lbs less to carry around, maybe I'm doing more and that's where the being tired comes in.

I just thought that maybe others out there may find themselves more tired; after all - we are eating a huge amount less then we used to!

I was banded last year in April 09. I was feeling like that several months after being banded.. I was so fatigue, till I felt as if I was going to pass out. I called the dr. and explained to the nurse the systems, as I wasn't having them before being banded and they told me I needed to take the B12 shots..Till this day I've been on them, and I can't tell you how I feel a lot better, and I know when it's time for me to get another injection because that feeling of fatigue and tiredness comes on and I can't shake it. I give myself a injection about every 2 weeks or so... Call your dr and talk to them..

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
