I'm all packed...

...and ready for spring. I just packed away all my short-sleeved 3X shirts. Tomorrow I get my 5th adjustment, and I'm ready to plow through the winter and work my ass off -- literally.

By the time spring rolls around, I'll be shopping at Target (max shirt size, 2X, which will be PLENTY big by Spring) instead of Wal-Mart =) (Yes, I'm a big spender. :( )

You go boy !!! LOL

Its really great that you have a goal to work towards. I'll join you. I'm hoping to wear a ladies 1X by spring, depending on the cut, I'm in a 2 - 3x now. And I agree, target or Walmart, especially since we'll be losing MORE by the summer :(

If we take all of the big clothes to a thrift shop before the end of the year we could get a deduction to use at tax time.

I love Target! I have been slowly throwing things out. I will try them on because I want to wear them the next day and realize it is huge on me. I can no longer stand the big ol shirts. I need form fitting. THis is so different because I always had to venture out to get the largest shirt possible for it to be extra big, and now I am flying through those sizes.... I love it, good bye anything I wore last spring. I will need a whole new wardrobe when it gets here!! Keep it up Jonathan.

Way to have a positive attitude Jonathan!

You will probably be down to a size large by Spring with that kind of thinking. Congrats!!

Your positive attitude is half the battle.

Go! Go! Go!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
