Fill Update - No Restriction

Recommended Posts

Thanks for all the comments and well-wishes!

I am kinda bummed out - I really don't feel much restriction, but I am telling myself that this is a slow process that with time and patience, I will acheive the perfect fit.

I was glad to hear there can be a big difference between 2cc and 2.2 ccs!!

How long do y'all think I should wait before going back?

He said 6-8 weeks when I was there - but now, since I do not have much restriction I would like to go sooner.

Hey Sherrie,

I still waited my 6 weeks before going back for another one. When I got the 2.5 I thought I hope this one works...boy did it so much I did have to backed down to 2.2..and I still feel full most of the day and somethings still get stuck. So becareful with the next one....

Hang in there girl!

Sherrie,

I suggest to wait the 6 weeks - at least 6 weeks!

Weve said this time and time again... some of us gain restriction 4 - 6 weeks after a fill. You certainly wouldnt want to get another fill right now - then gain restriction from your first fill... yuck! Its not worth the discomfort!!

Just hang in there - the weight will start falling off before you know it!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
