I pureed a meatball with red sauce during this stage. And it was amazing. Also ricotta cheese got me through...

You're probably sick of eggs, but you can always change them up by pureeing other things and adding them (tomatoes, peppers etc) I would cook my eggs with GIANT pieces of green pepper..then pick out hte pepper before eating. I assume you could do this with basically anything to give it flavor.

The foods you've listed are all mushy---but there's a world more variety for purees. Do you have Magic Bullet or other blender?

During my puree phase, the only foods allowed were Protein. Ground beef, chicken, whatever---right into the Bullet and whizzed right up. A little broth or gravy or sauce (very small amount; not enough to impact calories/fat/carbs/etc) made these things taste good (even though they often looked gross)---and they were far more satisfying than things like yogurt would have been. (Yogurt is so slidey--plus, the milk sugars trigger hunger for me.)

Do you like Beans? Canned fat-free refried Beans with a dash of hot sauce/taco sauce and a bit of melted reduced-fat cheddar go down so nicely. Other beans, like black beans, are great, too. But be sure that legumes are okay with your doctor at this stage--mine didn't introduce them until later.

For lots of good ideas, visit bariatriceating.com. They have food lists and recipes for all stages, pre- and post-op. Some things may not be on your doctor's plan, but I bet you can get some good ideas.

I agree it does seem gross but I have to tell you pureeing the food in the blender really will help you add flavor. The first time I tried it was with some light broccoli cheese Soup and smoked turkey meat... it looked gross but it tasted just like the lean pockets broccoli, cheddar, turkey. It really was a nice change in flavor for me. I also would make a heartier soup and just strain it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
