Well, today was my first fill apt. I think it went very well. Although I was a little nervous about the huge needle, it only stung for a second. Then I could feel a weird movement around my port. Then it was done! Simple! I thought my band was empty at the time of sx, but I actually had 4cc already. So, he put the 4 back in plus another 1.5cc. SO, I have 5.5cc total. I can feel the tightness tonight. I couldn't drink all my Protein Shake, but got most of it down. Well, I need to get my little girl ready for bed.

Glad to hear your fill went so well. I was nervous the first time too. My doc. gives a local so I don't even feel that long needle. Hope your fill leads to that elusive restriction!

Yeah, I don't think I would even need a local. I only felt a little prick. I'm glad it went well. liquids seem to be going down good. Just getting full and can't finish a Protein Shake.< /p>

I had my first fill today too. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I did feel a little prick and that was it. I got 2cc and I go back in a month. Its going to be hard today just doing liquids again. Thank goodness its just 1 day.

My first fill is tomorrow. I am curious how your dr's office does it. My dr does first come first serve. Is this strange? Seemed it to me. My appointment time is 11am but they told me to get there early so I don't have to wait on line. HUH???

I had my first fill on Monday and it was surprisingly not bad. Although I do not think I have restriction. I get full, but able to still eat things I want, just not as much. I had 2ccs in after surgery and Doc added 2 more ccs. Will add exercise and see how this goes.

Good Luck to all!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
