MimIn, a ? about your arm & thigh procedures

Recommended Posts

I'm planning to get a brachioplasty and some TT/breast reduction revisions this year. I also believe I need a thigh lift. Unfortunately, I've read that getting one's arms and legs done at the same time is horrific from a recovery standpoint. I really want to do the procedures together because I'm done going under the knife. MimIn, I know you had them done together. Would you mind providing with a little insight regarding your recovery? If anyone else has had them done together, I would really appreciate your insight too. Thanks.

I just had my arms done and a breast lift in January my dr said he would not recommed doing everything at once and now I see why I was in alot of pain for a good 2 weeks with the arms and had 4 drains to take care of when i got home from the hospital as of now everything is healing nicely but it is still healing i can not even imagine the pain you would be in if you did it all at once. Start on the top and work your way down that is what i am going to do and I look GREAT and feel good .

Best of luck!

I just had an extended TT with a little Lipo, a breast lift with implants and lipo and let me say, if i had more done around my arms and or legs, i cannot imagine how in the world i would have been able to get up and down!!!

good luck with your decision!!!

I had a Breast Reduction and Brachioplasty on 22nd April. To be honest - Although I had NO pain from it (which surprised me) Had I had my legs done also - To be able to lift yourself up might make things complicated - I stupidly lifted a small bag of potatoes and felt a pulling sensation and had to go back to the Hosp to get checked out - And it was only a small bag! I would say to stick to one end of the body at a time - As eventhough it might save time under the knife - It might end up making you have to re-do some things if anything should happen and it is really easy to over-do things...

My Dr also says that to do more than a couple of things would be overdoing it) I wanted a Tummy Tuck - Thighs and Bum done - and he told me that would be too much (he is probably very right)

Good luck to those about to have something done :-)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
