Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor need some tips on getting back on track

Recommended Posts

Honestly, I have not been committed to my Band. I have fallen into lazy mode, wanting the band to do everything for me. I get a fill, then only to have it unfilled. I lose abit, then gain it back. I have not adopted a really good excerise program. I watch calories, then go bonkers, cheat. Old habits are so hard to break. I am wearing a smaller pant size, that makes me very happy. I need a buddy to check in with, be more accountable. Tomorrow I go for a fill, hoping to get back into it. I know that I did at one time hit "sweet spot". I tend to eat too fast, and get myself stuck, then have to go get unfilled. Tomorrow is another day, fresh start. Thanks for reading this post, your advise, tips for success are appreciated.

I'm in the same boat. I've been lazy. I know that my band is a tool and I have to make healthy eating choices and exercise. I was doing good once i was in a routine with walking. Then i got too busy with 2 nursing jobs, both 12 hour shifts that i made the excuse i have no time to walk. also no time to make healthy eating choices. ugh!!! But spring is coming, and before we know it summer will be here. I don't necessarily care how i look, but i want to feel better so i can be active with my family. One of the guys at my drs office says to just walk 30 min a day. he says anyone can do that and if you're consistent, you'll loose a pound a week. I dont like vegetables and i love junk food. So I'm hoping that if I stick with veggies ill develope a taste. yuck. Well good luck! Ambra:unsure:

Thanks for the post. I am writing down my food intake today and for the rest of week. I will take a good look at the time I fall apart!! I did go to the gym today x 45 mins.

I hope you get to find an idea time to squeeze in some walking. Having to work long hours got to be tough on you. Let's try a tougher approach to those dang sweets!! " Get back ugly food, I dont need you!"

Have a good day, would like to hear how you handle the week. Patti

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
