It felt like to not have any restriction!!! So I have had an unfill this morning due to OB wanting me to be able to eat a tad bit more ok so instead of getting a complete unfill he took only half out! Damn with just half EVERYTHING goes through like a race car race...I MEAN NO RESTRICTION what so ever it feels so different! I don't want to gain alot but I have only been unfilled for 2 hours and I am so surprised at how it "used" to be and can I be honest with you all it feels good but I want advice on not gaining the weight I am so scared at the same time ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And at the same I am looking for that restriction still I know its only been a few hours this will take some getting used to!!!

Haven't been here for a while, but saw your post and wanted to reply.

First, hang in there! It's a bit scary, but totally doable. Most of us who have been banded tried a ton of diets before we got banded, so you probably have a lot of the tools you need still tucked away in your back pocket.

When it comes to eating, I've tried to switch back to a little of my Weight Watcher days--veggies and low-cal stuff for volume (if needed) and lean Protein like a good bandster. I've tried to stick to the "No liquid calorie" rule my lapband doc recommends, because it was one of the harder habits to break for me.

I eat primarily lean Protein and produce with a few more whole grains than usual. Do I eat some non-bandster friendly stuff? Yes. I'm enjoying my sandwiches (healthy options) and they are NOT part of bandster life for me.

I know it's scary, but you CAN do this! And your band will be there for you after the baby comes--there's nothing magic about baby weight. The band helps you lose weight, and it will help you lose pregnancy weight too!

Good luck to you!

I can now buy clothes in normal stores again. Admittedly the first time when I started trying on clothes, I really had to keep myself calm. Normally trying on clothes causes me to become SOOO depressed that it take weeks just to get over it. Now, I have to keep myself from not wanting to buy everything!

Hi, congrats on your surgery!  Saw you went to Dr. Pleatman.  I've been between doing the Lap Band and sleeve.  I was suppose to have a consultation with Dr. Pleatman this month.  So far great experience with his office coordinator Carrie (sp?).   Feeling really scared and nervous about getting the sleeve.  If you can share...how was your experience with Dr. Pleatman's office and the surgery?   Thanks!
