Does everyone have hair loss?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if everyone is having some degree of Hair loss. I get my Protein in, take hair Vitamins, use nixon, had my blood check and still losing hair...Jeezz. Was banded on Dec 28th, 2009. My weight loss has been slow, so I don't think it is necessarily from losing to much weight? What kind of vitamins are you using. I use hair revive 5.....Suggestions anyone.....:blushing:

I have no Hair loss and I was banded on 11/9/09 and have lost about 60 lbs. I take Bariatric Advantage Vita Band Vitamins and have missed my Protein target many times. I think it's really individual -- some people have it and others don't. I hope it gets better for you.

I never had hairloss - above normal that is. I shed like mad anyway. But no, it never thinned or gave me any concern.

I have had hairloss for about 4 months, which is starting to slow down now. I get all my protien too and take all my Vitamins. Just happens... not worried about it. Yet. LOL

I had the band placed in Sept. and have been really worried about how much hair I have been losing. to the point where I would go 3 days without shampooing because I couldn't deal with the clogged drain and the hair that I pulled from my brush. And if I ran my hands through my hair I would get 10-20 strands each time, all day long. and my pillowcase would be covered when I woke up.

I do have to say that it is slowing down. Yesterday when I washed it I only had 3 strands come out and about 20 in the brush. When I run my hands through now I get maybe 2, sometimes none, and no hair on my pillowcase for the past few nights.

I have always gotten enough Protein and the Dr said it might have been my gallbladder which could have caused some of the loss but since my surgery last week I see a great improvement.

I always had thin hair, but alot of it, now I have 1/2 of what I had before and it is thinner. I don't see the new short growth yet but it's early.

I do have to say, that no matter how many people on these boards reassured me that it would grow back, I was still not a believer and it really was worrisome.

I was losing hair before the band, so i don't think it is the band causing it as I only have 2cc in my band anyway. Hmmmmm, I read a interesting article on spironalactone stopping hair loss..I am going to look into that.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
