Stranded on Island Fun Thread

Recommended Posts

You're stranded on an island and can only have 10 foods. There's no means of fishing over the cliffs. You can't have tacos or pizza or prepared foods because I said so since it's my game. What are your 10 foods?

1 ~ Bacon

2 ~ Potatos

3 ~ cheese

4 ~ bread

5 ~ BBQ Babybacks

6 ~ Rotisserie chicken

7 ~ Brocolli

8 ~ Mangos

9 ~ Ice cream

10 ~ Butter (yep, I love the stuff so much I'd sacrifice a food)

Why no prepared foods??? No fun!

1. Potatoes w/ butter sour cream & cheddar cheese (this all counts as one item)

2. French Toast (you can buy this pre-made too)

3. Bagels & Cream cheese

4. Bacon

5. BBQ Ribs

6. Green olives

7. Starbucks Frappacinos - not the prepared ones but already made storebought

8. Reese's PB Cups

9. Baby Dill Pickles

10. Ben & Jerry's Everything But The

I have to add one more

11. Hot dogs w/ mustard & a can of sourkraut

You can't have tacos or pizza or prepared foods because I said so since it's my game. Uh, play by the rules, Smooch. Potatos with butter and sour cream count as three foods or add cheddar cheese is four foods. Bagles & cream cheese are two more. I'll let you slide with the French Toast, but Syrup is separate.

Rules are rules. If I let you have sour cream on a potato, someone else will try to call turkey with stuffing one food. Nope, my game.

Yea exactly DeLarla - how can you have BBQ Ribs unless they're prepared? And ROTISSERIE chicken??? COME ON! How can it be rotisseried unless you have a Rotissire machine to PREPARE it in...........you made this one too hard to play.......and the reason I have them all lumped together is because that's the only way I can eat a bagel - there is no point without cream cheese just as there is no point to eat a potato without goup to go on it - no point in eating a hot dog without mustard

Ok ok here is my revamped list - but I'm stickin with Condiments shouldn't be counted as a food item ex. BBQ Sauce & mustard :P and to me on a baked potato the butter, sour cream & cheese are just condiments - LOL

1. French Toast (pre-made)

2. Peanut Butter

3. Bacon

4. Green olives

5. Baby Dill Pickles

6. Reese's PB Cups

7. Starbucks Frappacinos (storebought ones)

8. Ben & Jerry's Everything But The

9. BBQ'd hot dogs w/ mustard

10. Sourkraut

YEAAAA!!! I did it! Did I do it right? LOL

1. bread

2. mayo

3. Milk

4. Bananas

5. Tomatoes

6. Granola

7. Plums

8. Carrots

9. Apples

10. Rice (would make a fire and cook it that way)

I think that in order to keep a healthy body it would be best to bring foods that offer most nutrition.

Now, the 10 men I'd bring with me on a secluded island.

1. George Clooney

2. Vince Vaughn

3. Vince Diesel

4. Owen Wilson

5. Jake Gyllenhaal

6. Brad Pitt

7. Matthew McConaughey

8. Hayden Christensen

9. My sweetie

10. And ofcourse my son!!!

You people slay me! I said BBQ'd babybacks but I never mentioned sauce because I'd be dipping them in butter for the coronary that would get me off the damn island. Same with the chicken, Jack. Didn't you ever watch Gilligan's Island where the professor fashioned a rotisserie and Gilligan had to ride the bike made out of bamboo and rubber plants to spin the rotisserie? Pah-leeezzze! Smooch, you'll starve to death out there if you bring mustard since there's no nutritional value. You lose one food.< /p>

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
