Jen,

I don't have that kind of luck any more. Hawaii was 1995 and the Explorer in 1997.

It used to be easy to win things on the internet when it was only us geeks.

I knew my luck had come to an end when my 65 year old mother got an internet account.

I probably need to talk to an accountant to start planning ahead for next year. Better safe than sorry.

I had to take out a loan to pay for the taxes on the Explorer but don't even think about that now. You have more than 13 months before you even have to think about it.

Concentrate on your surgery; being thin and healthy!

Thats's unreal. I can't believe you have to pay tax on something you win. Takes the joy out of winning doesn't it? It is also very discriminatory as what happens if you cannot afford to pay the tax? This would mean only the rich would benefit , poor people wouldn't be able to afford to win anything.

One of the weirder things to win on a radio show if you ask me... but yay you! I would love to have been in your shoes. On the upside, people's attention spans are pretty short so, while there's all this hype right now, it should die down fairly quickly as something newer and cooler comes up.

Move to Canada. Winnings are tax-free.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
