Is Soup a slider food? I love to eat a can of Progresso vegetable soup for a meal. It does fill me. Yes I eat the whole can. Depending on the variety they have around 200 calories and about 18 or so grams of proyein. Any :blush:thoughts on this??

Soup is a slider because it rapidly leaves the pouch and will not keep you full for 4 hours plus.

if it keeps you full than it is not a slider for you. We each have different things that work or don't work for us. someone posted today that lasagna was a slider. I got stuck when I ate lasagna!! If you like Soup and you can eat a meal for 200 calories and be full until the next meal, sounds like you found a winner :) my only concern is the amount of sodium in canned Soups if you eat them often.

There is much debate on this topic. Soups are slider foods however, progresso in particular for the most part has large pieces of Pasta, whole pieces of chicken, carrots, etc. If it keeps you full until the next meal and you are eating the cup to cup and a half then I would think it would be ok since we aren't talking, chips and milkshakes and other high calorie foods that are sliders and do not fill you up. You just have to be careful not to eat too much and stretch the pouch with it and be aware of your satiety level. My surgeon has advised me not to eat Soup with a meal as it is like drinking with the meal. There are lots of varying opinions on this topic. Have you asked your surgeon about it yet? Please let me know if you do and what they say about it. Thanks.

I have only had 1 fill of 4.6 in a 10. band. Certainly no sign of restriction yet, so I don't think I'll stretch my stoma. I will ask my surgeon and nutritionist, but I don't see them untill the 15th of March. I suppose I could eat the chunks in the Soup and not all the juice.< /p>

LOL

To me only does not go in the same sentence as 4.6ml fill. I have a 10ml band, have had lots of fills and only have 3. something mls in total!

It is incredible how different the quantity required to reach adequate restriction can be.

I have to admit I was surprised at the amount to. This was just last Wednesday and I can't stop eating. My doctor won't even see me untill 3-15-10. I had this whole thing done because I have a problem with Portion Control and I'm still waiting to be able to eat less.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
