Just wondering if anyone has tried this. I am looking at it on the website and it looks like fun, but I just don't want to buy another exercise DVD set to have it collect dust.

I bought the Slim in 6 months ago, and did it twice this week and it's just PAINFUL! I know that can be part of exercising, but I'm not sure I will ever get used to the moves, so I'm thinking of putting the Slim in 6 on eBay to buy the Zumba.

Has anyone tried Zumba? If so, what is/was your experience with it?

Love it! My local YMCA offers it, and it's great fun. Feels like dancing, not exercising. At first I was worried that I would look stupid, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly, and there are always lots of people of different shapes and sizes there.

My favorite aerobics class!

Why don't you check out a class at your local Y or gym? Most offer a guest pass for free b/c they want you to join. I have been meaning to try it b/c w/ my work schedule I can't seem to fit it in.

I have never been ableto get into DVDs. I always find that after watching the video 2 or 3 times, I am done and don't care to watch it again.

My best friend is a zumba instructor and has students of all shapes, sizes, ages and coordination levels. I went to her class with her the last time I went to visit and it was a lot of fun and a lot more forgiving if you don't do it perfectly than other dance classes.

Zumba is great! My employer brings in a Fitness company and they do Zumba twice a week and kickboxing the other two days. I'm signed up for Zumba 2x's and kickboxing once a week. Like others have said, Zumba is a lot of fun and doesn't really feel like exercise because you're having fun doing it. But believe me, it is a good work out and you will sweat and burn a ton of calories while doing it. I would think it's probably more fun to do with a group of girls but I'm sure a tape would be good too. Go for it!

I am a zumba lover! I love to dance and it makes the boring workouts more enjoyable. You dance your weight away and sweat like crazy...:frown:

Hmmmm decisions, decisions. I am now torn between getting the Zumba DVDs and the Ab Circle Pro. I do need cardio as well as the ab work, maybe I could tweak my budget to do both LOL!

Oh sure...these things always look like fun. Then someone (like me) trips over their feet because they're a step behind and a day late and falls on their ass.

(says the woman who couldn't even keep up with Richard Simmons) :frown:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
