Im exercising 3-4 days a week sometimes 2x a day n I cnt get that scale 2 move past 189. Im back n forth 191-189. I even tried the 5day pouch test n Im on day 4. still up n down those 2 damn lbs. my doc tells me nt 2 count calories n I do have restriction, im eating less so whats the problem?

Coffee- no sugar--5 cal., 3 oz ground beef-185 cal., Protein shake--180 cal, salsa-30? cal. total so far today 400.

I think your body is in starvation mode. You need 1000 to 1200 cal per day. Especially if you are exercising.

The lady who does my fills is also banded and she told me being too tight is worse for weightloss than being to loose. You should be able to eat regular food, just not alot of it. This is what gives you the ability to keep the weight off long term, otherwise it will be like every diet you will gain weight back when you go back to eating regularly, so you have to eat regular food now.

I would let my DR know how few calories you are eating and see what he thinks.

thats just what I have eaten so far today like by 4pm I will try maybe some eggs n yogurt later or a grilled chicken salad. I have to make myself eat because I dnt really have an appetite.... my doc tells us nt to count calories eat haelthy food choices until we get enough and after 2 bites I feel that hurting painful feeling in my chest. yes Im chewing and chewing and chewing and when I feel that feeling I think this is what restriction feels like

I think if you eat 2 bites and have pain you are too tight. So you are living on liquids and sliders not healthy everyday foods. I am no expert but I think you should write down everything you eat for a few days and take it to your Doctors office and see if it is what they have in mind. It also sounds like you would have a hard time getting your 50g of Protein.

I use to have a boss who would always say..."If you keep doing what your doing, your going to keep getting what your getting."

I may be completely wrong on all of this, its just my opinion. Good luck with what you decide to do. Maybe someone else will also have some ideas for you and post them.:)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
