Stomach Virus or problem with Band!

Hi All- I am extremely sick fever, cough, sneezing and the doctor put me on Antibiotics. Since I have been taking them I have been nauseous and throwing up. Can't keep anything down except Tea. Was wondering what the signs are that are a Band problem or should I assume its a stomach virus and let it run its course! Its been 2 days feeling better today!

Hi:

Postnasal drip, as well as throwing up, can make your pouch swell which makes your band seem tighter. You should call your band doctor and tell him/her what's going on and leave it up to their judgment whether you need an unfill or not.

Feel better soon!

Sue

Give the doc a call; many antibiotics are very hard on the stomach. Chances are, s/he can switch you to another class of drug that you'll tolerate better.

Feel better fast!
