eating the wrong things

Recommended Posts

Well, since my last fill of 1 more cc(5 cc's total) I seem to have more trouble eating. This in turn has me eating things I am not supposed to. meats do not seem to go down, but all the things bad for you go down much better. I am trying to mentally tell me eat the right things, but they just have trouble going down. Even soft eggs and sometimes even Protein Shakes have trouble. Ice cream, puddings reeses Peanut Butter cups- no trouble. Am I too tight or what.

Yes I would say you are too tight. You don't want to only be able to eat slider foods as they will make you put on weight and start off a vicious cycle(you will think you need to be tighter etc)

The band is designed to work with real foods such as solid Protein. If you can't eat these then you are probably too tight. Don't be scared of going back to get a small amount of fill out. Often just the tiniest amount is required and you will be amazed at how much better you will feel.

eggs are not a great indicator of tightness. I would say most people can not do eggs. They for most people are not band friendly.

Replace the pudding with yogurt. Try different meats. I found pulled pork worked better than ground beef. Shredded chicken worked better than other chicken. Use lots of sauce, and precut your chicken so you don't take a huge bite by accident.

Same issue here. Just after my fill I was back to normal. I was feeling restriction and not hungry often. Now a week later I can't get hardly anything down. Mostly back on mushies. It's like I'm tighter than right after the fill. It's good b/c I'm not starving or anything but I want more options for meals.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
