Pneumonia is keeping me down. At least I had a week of 20,000+ steps a day before a week of sick!

So I haven't been on here in awhile but I am happy to give you all an update. Since surgery I am down 35 lbs. I feel so good and full of energy. I go to the gym Monday-Friday for about an hour and a half sometimes 2 hours if I feel good. The elliptical is my best friend...Lol.. overall I feel good and love working out and seeing changes in my clothing size. I started back to work last week and it's been good. I was a little tired in the beginning but I've picked up my momentum. Overall doing well and I love my sleeve

This week was the week from Hell. To the point that I went in on some carbs and carbs came out on several occasions... So I decided to work from home to keep my sanity and take a woo-Sah moment...

Everyone who has had issues with their weight will fight that until death. Just like other addictions. We will always have this close to the surface. There is not one of us that can say otherwise and be telling the truth....You know the difference and protected yourself from further damage. You are the bomb! Your doing great kid!!!!!!!

i am 5 weeks out and for lunch today i had half a turkey sandwich on toasted rye bread and wondering if i messed up ......could i have the rye bread at all?

I see well toasted bread (no specific kind) listed in phase 3. While 5wks out doesn't quite sound like phase 3 it's certainly not a death sentence. You've had it and its' over now. Get back on track and don't dwell on mistakes.....whether by mistake or on purpose. This will be one of many......and, so what...? In the name of mindful eating you may want to ask yourself why you ate it. Was it because of temptation? Super hungry and didn't plan ahead? Peer pressure/out to lunch with friends/co-workers? Once you determine why you ate it - you acknowledge your feelings and move on. Don't dwell, cause dwelling on our past/mistakes/slip-ups is "the devil" LOLOL. Stay strong doll...

Well, I have done cardio 5 days in a row now. Down 2lbs this week and feeling pretty darn proud of myself. Trying to build that exercise habit and make it consistent everyday is not easy! Before I was exercising 3 times per week and I seemed to slow way down on weight loss.

My first follow since surgery is Thursday with my surgeon. How hoften did you all go after that? Never ? Every 3 or 6 months?

So, I haven't made a whole lot of progress in weight-loss lately, primarily due to being chained to my desk to finish my master's paper... however, I will be crossing another finish-line this week.
