Hello Phyllser, You have come a long way baby!!!!! With weight loss and RVing. You look great! We have a fith-wheel we roam around in. We were down in Texas this past spring. We RVed for two weeks. We are not yet retied. my husband is 55 and can retire but we have my granddaughter living with us and her mom (our daughter). The mom is thinking about the Navy and I recomend it highly to her. Then I think we can set forth and do some good traveling. What kind of dog do you have? I have a Shitzu named Sophie. She loves the RV campgrounds. The smells are what she likes the most I guess. Please let me know how your trip went. Do you have a laptop? and get wifi where you stay? We try to. Good luck to you in your endevors. I have not been banded yet but hope to be soon. Wendy Ann

I went from 238 to 209 and there I am stuck. I eat more than before but not half what I ate before surgery and now I walk about a mile a day. When you get old like me I guess it's harder. I don't go for a fill until mid Sept.
Glad you are doing well. I feel good even if I'm not losing more weight... I might be though because the doc said not to pay attention to the scale because the walking might be giving me more muscle. I put on my fanny pack today and could really see the difference... about 6 inches!!!
And the pictures.....wow! You look 15 yrs younger! I love the "do" too. Keep up the good work!

I am impressed that you lost weight before the surgery. I am now 262... The biggest I have ever been. I am only 5'5 so you know I look like a basket ball. I am trying to motivate myself to exercise but I am soooooooo discouraged by the number on the scale. Good Luck on losing the rest of your weight! I know you will do well because you are determined.

The words that your friend shared with you are very inspiring!!!! This journey of regaining our body and the image that we want people to see is all a matter of believing that we are WORTH it. I will have to read that statement a couple of times but I have the point of it planted in my soul.
I am very funny..... I am the funny fat girl that always has a joke to share. Now I just want to be the funny girl. I went to the Pulmonary Doctor and he cleared me. Next week I have the endoscopy exam..... The nutritionist is in October. I have been cleared by everyone else..... Now, I just weight the 6 months as required by insurance.

Was you scared anytime during the pre op journey??? When did you start the diet to lose weight without the lap band?? I am full of questions. I just started and I hope to have my surgery by the latest November.

Hello, I am also a June bug and read your post about making bad choices and pizza. I honeslty almost hit the floor bc I too am having the same problem with myself and pizza, AHHHHHH. Funny thing is, our weights are almost identical. And yes I do think that 30 pounds in 2 months is great. I need motivation as well, I feel like I am just accepting the slow weight loss. I need a wake up call now. I get so mad at myself too when I slip and eat something bad, that I think go ahead and eat a little more. My spiral needs to stop and I need to work harder. just thought I would share.

Talk anytime you need. I truly understand, this December will be 6 years since my brother died (he was 24 yo and died in a motorcycle accident). Your sister sounds like she was the type of person that brighten a room as soon as she walked in. I also know that weight loss is very hard after during grief. So good job for all of your weight loss!!! Hope you have a good week.

Hello everyone. I'm looking into having lap band surgery and I'm using this site to see real results good and bad. I've read somethings that have triggered questions. Hope you can help. I'm 5'7 280 lbs - I carrier most of my weight in my stomach. If the surgery works I'm worried I will have a bunch of hanging skin. How many of you have gotten a tummy tuck and did your insurance cover the surgery? Also some people said they were disbanded due to erosion. How long does the band work? and does insurance cover the cost to remove or replace the band?

Hey Tina, how is it going? I still have good and bad days. I have been on 217 for two weeks no, no gain, but no loss. I guess I hit my first plateau. No worries, i still take one day at a time. My doctor says I am still ahead of where the average person should be, so that makes me feel better. God Bless, m-

Hi Carrie! I haven't logged in here in a really long time. I'm doing great. I've hit a plateu but I went and got a fill and since then i'm starting to move past it. Hopefully the rest of the weight (last 78 lbs) will melt off me! How are things with you?

How are you doing now? Sorry, I didn't reply sooner, I have been frustrated with my band. I am still happy I did it, it just seems the weight is still hanging on. I lost 15 lbs at my 2 week follow up, however I am only 22 lbs down today -a month later.
You are not a failure, it just takes a little time to get used to the new diet. Please keep me posted on how you are doing. Have a great day!

Hey!!!
Sorry to hear you had to have a complete unfill, but at least now you can control the fills and get to a good place. Too tight is never good! I haven't had a fill myself since January. I feel like I'm in a good place, but still haven't lost much more weight. Still at 40 lbs. lost. So, I recently started a power walking program and have lost 3 lbs. in 2 weeks! So excited about that! Hopefully it will get things moving again! Keep celebrating your 40 lb. weight loss and just keep on trucking baby!!!

Your face shows so much weight loss between highest weight and post-surgery -- I know how lame this might sound but take comfort in that! The scale might not be moving, but seriously you look fantastic! Take care.....

Hi Sue
I am OK, put weight on last month 3lbs, had a 3rd fill yesterday which will take me to 6.5lbs he couldn't put the extra 0.5ml I wanted. I do feel restriction now and hope it lasts the month, need to lose some weight again, this is getting me down. How are you doing now? x

When I had the heartburn, I had to have most of the fluid in my band removed and after awhile I started gaining some of the weight back (almost 20lbs in total). Now that the heartburn is resolved and i'm at a pretty good fill level, the weight is finally starting to come off again. The issue has been ongoing before the band. I made the mistake of having lamb and had to pay for with pain and a lot belching (blech!). I know have to have the gallbladder removed but i'm totally chicken *cluck, cluck, cluck* lol.
I'm glad you're settling in with your band.
Do you ever use the chat program here?

How are you doing? It appears that your weight lost has been going very well for you. I am sorry that I have not stopped by your page in a long time, but things have been very crazy with me. I have finally completed everything required by my insurance company. I am now waiting to hear back from them to approve or deny me for the band. I am really praying to hear something positive very soon. You look wonderful in your pics. I will talk with you later.
