Steady losers ;-)
I'm going to try and follow the lead of someone on this forum that lost over 100lbs. I ordered the bodybugg and I'm going to aim for a 1000 calorie deficit each day. I'm hoping this will help me get going. My ticker hasn't moved at all! As for the loose at night, count me in. I'm great all day, then I get home and eat like a pig (or want to). Today's the first day I've made myself stick to my planned 3 meals only. However, I still feel like I can eat too much. So, I scheduled a fill in two weeks.

Thank you. :girl_hug: I'm 5'8. So, I've decided to buy the bodybugg and I've decided I need another fill. When you can eat a NY style piece of pizza (slowly of course) I think you don't have enough restriction! So, in two weeks I will go for another fill.

December Bandsters in March!
I am seriously thinking about getting a BodyBugg to help with the exercise thing. However, it's pretty expensive and I was self-pay with the band so I am trying to rationalize why I'd spend even more money when the band was supposed to do it. Anyway, I had a NSV today. Even though I think I still eat too much, I know I'm eating less than before. Typically, I'd order a 3 plank chicken dinner with extra hushpuppies and a large soda from LJS, but today I just ordered 2 chicken planks and 2 hushpuppies (those did not go down well so they are on my do not eat list). I know it's more than I should be able to eat (which is why I really think I need a fill), but it's A LOT less than I used to eat. And I ate the chicken planks with a knife and fork instead of sucking them down. I was proud of myself.

Boo, I cannot wait to be a sizew 16/18. You go girl! Part of me feels like that will be my goal, part of me wants to get smaller. Right now, I'd settle for anything smaller than my current size (26/28...more on the 28 side). I am seriously thinking about getting a BodyBugg to help with the exercise thing. Possible to PB often, but feel like you have no restriction?
I thought I would miss bread terribly, but I really don't. I just don't like the pain that comes with it. Now if only chocolate and other crap foods left me with that pain!!! And thanks all to have replied. I'm leaning towards another fill, but like I said, I'm going to take the next two weeks to eat slow, eat well, and see if it makes a difference.

Dr. C-Advice regarding fill needed
<!--StartFragment -->I had my first fill on Feb. 9th. The doctor put in 2.5cc in my 4cc band. Lately, I've noticed that I get "stuck" quite often in the afternoon when I eat lunch (I eat oatmeal for breakfast). I've even had to PB a few times. Yet, at dinner I don't seem to have any restriction. For instance, tonight I was able to eat a pretty large salad and spaghetti (well-cooked, angel hair with sauce). I don't know if I should get another fill or not. I'm really concerned about the amount I can eat, yet at the same time I get the stuck feeling more often. And now I'm really scared about pouch packing since I've read the posts in this section. I need advice please.

I'm hanging in there! I haven't had the amazing progress some of you have, but it's my own damn fault. Right now, I'm still trying to figure out if I need another fill. I hate PBing as much as I do, but I can still eat way too much. Last night with my spaghetti proved it. I just don't know what to do. Frustrating! My goal is to really work the band the next two weeks and see if it's me or a fill I need to fix. I'm sorry you're going through a rough time. I hope your weekend in Chicago is great!

Today I didn't PB, but I still think I was able to eat too much. This is so confusing!

December Bandsters in March!
Could a fill kick in a MONTH after you get it??? I feel more restricted a month later and am not sure why. I'm also sick with a sinus infection and on antibiotics. Could that be a reason?

I have gone to a co-ed gym for years and I'm guessing I'm the fattest chick here. Funny enough, it has NEVER bothered me. My mom sometimes goes with me (she's a lot smaller than me, size 10) and feels so self-conscious. I just never have. I guess I'm so used to being the biggest anywhere I just don't let it get to me. I actually enjoy watching the men. As for fills, I know I had 2.5cc but I'm not sure I have restriction. Part of me wonders if its me not working with the band, or if I truly need a fill. I was able to eat a taco salad today!!! That can't be right. But then, it was very soft and I remember a post saying we should stick to chicken breast consitency to feel restriction. I think I am going to take the next three weeks to really do what I'm supposed to before I get another fill. If I do and don't lose, I'll schedule a fill during my Spring Break vacation.

I can't tell if I'm properly restricted
Then I'm thinking I'm ok because I am satisfied for at least 3 hours, usually 3.5. Thanks everyone.

A thread for super-sized bandsters - starting BMI over 50?
Ever since my fill (2.5cc) I really can't tell if I'm restricted. On the one hand, if I eat too fast, don't chew enough, etc. it causes me PB problems that I didn't have before. On the other hand, I still feel like I can eat too much. I just had a salad and ate more than I thought I could. I'm so confused!

NSV today... Co-worker: Are you getting skinny? Me: Trying!

NSV today: Co-worker: Are you getting skinny? Me: Trying! And now to TV... I love Rob and Amber, too, but sometimes feel like I'm in the minority! Yes, Joyce shaved her head in her season. She also went on to win with her husband, Uchenna. I think they are the only ones who have won on AS. I also hate that dating couple. What a crock. So many other deserving teams should be there over them!

Me too! Poor Kevin and Drew. Though, really, it was a relief. They needed to put Drew out of his misery.

Now I Just Feel Like a Failure
I know I can, I do. Exercise has never been the problem. Trust me, I appreciate the post but I know all the rules and what to do and what not to do. Like I said, it's my head I'm working on right now. I'll get it; I no longer doubt it. And I feel better already.

December Bandsters in February!
I have finally realized my problem is totally head hunger. I rarely feel true hunger if I take the time to analyze why I want to eat. So, battling this head hunger is the hardest part for me so far. I was really down about it all last week, but I'm feeling better and ready to tackle it all again. This site has been so helpful, I don't know what I would have done without it!

Now I Just Feel Like a Failure
I'm in no way considering band removal. I just felt like it wasn't going to work for me. However, the past few days I have felt really positive and I'm ready to use the tool I was given. I realize a lot of my issues are ME, not the band. I really haven't given the band a chance to work because I'm not doing my part. But it's a new day and a new week and I'm ready.

Looking for Lap-Band buddies in Florida!!!
I'm glad I found this thread. I live in central Florida, but had my surgery in Mexico. Struggling at the moment, but feel like I'm going to get my head on straight now-feeling more positive again. That's truly the key!
