  1. ME TOO!! Oh my goodness! I am 28 and my husband just turned 43. He is a truck driver and is getting in poor health with a big belly, high blood pressure and cholesterol. I too felt guilty about getting on him about doing something even though he never got on me. So that was also an issue in addition to everything else that I had mentioned. I also took the Fluid out of my band and gained weight up to 182 to get attention off of me, because it was scary with all the attention all the changes and all the insecurities it seemed to cause my husband. However I received a fill after he left and already dropped ten pounds in one week! (Of course I am depressed and barely eating) Today was the first day I really ate anything solid.
  2. My husband and I got married in 2003; I had WLS in 2006 He became that jealous insecure verbally abusive man once I lost the weight. It seemed like every man around me was telling me how beautiful I was except my husband. I had the WLS because of finding out my husband cheated and wanted to feel desirable again. It was wrong, but I ended up cheating back after numerous times of being accused of it. We just separated on Wednesday as a result.
  3. What is the sleeve? I never heard of that!
  4. Yeah; same exact thing happened to me. Just found out my band slipped today and I will have to have my band replaced
  5. Hey ladies; been banded for a year and had the same problem as you all. Every month right before my period my band is so tight that I throw up everything I eat even fluids then I am fine. I lost tons of weight but it was a rather miserable process. I went from 229 to 130 but looked malnourished and took all the fluid out. Felt healthy but gained weight rapidly and am now at 174. I had to get another fill to get around 150; which is where i want to be and it's that week again and I threw up everything today including my coffee and have acid reflux, but I know that this will go away in a few days like it always does.
  6. I used to smoke marijuanna and drink then I got married and had children and eating became my thing to do. Now that I am banded, lost seventy pounds and can't eat I have to be careful not to go to those other addictions. I definitely drink more now and am trying to slow that down
  7. I am also struggling with drinking and interpersonal issues with my husband now that I have lost 70 lbs. and cant eat as much
  8. When do you think you should get the tummy tuck? Like how much longer after surgery? I am wondering if I should wait until I am done losing or at a plateu, because I am still losing weight although I am rather happy with my weight right now but it still keeps coming off without me even trying. Also, I heard that removing the excess skin is the most painful of the surgeries. Can somebody tell me more? Any regrets?
  9. I feel that I am close to goal weight. I am smaller now then I have ever been my whole life. I was 229 at the start of this and a size 18. I had my surgery in December and am now a size 10 and 160 pounds. I now build cars on an assembly line and working this summer has just had me shedding the weight like crazy. Every two weeks I am dropping a size. The only downfall is having to buy new clothes every couple of weeks!
  10. Thanks for the responses. I am still researching a Dr.
  11. I need a fill doctor in the Indianapolis area. Anyone here familiar with one?
  12. I share these problems. This may seem weird; but a part of the month I am eating just fine and then there is a week or two where my band is too tight and I am suffering from reflux and can't sleep and have that burning sensation in my throat. I had my surgery in Chicago and have switched insurances and moved 100 miles away....now my doctor acts like he can't even get me in or work around my work schedule. I need to find another doctor in the Indianapolis area to have me unfilled.
  13. Hello, I was banded in December and have lost fifty pounds. I think that I am doing well, but there are times that my band feels too tight. I would like to see a doctor, but I moved from Chicago to Lafayette, Indiana. Does anyone know any doctors around there or Indianapolis?
  14. I have seven more to go, but may be gaining weight because I am losing a lot of hair and trying to eat more so that I can get my hair back!
  15. I am losing my hair like crazy now too. In the morning I fill up my hairbrush TWICE just by brushing it gently. Any suggestions? I have tried to increase my protein intake and am now back to having the protein drinks in the morning. Hope it helps. Haven't seen any progress yet though.
