  1. Congrats! It will all be worth it!
  2. Congrats! It will be here before you know it.
  3. I lost hair with my Lapland surgery, but not as much as I did with the VSG. I lost my hair until about a year out. It finally stopped on it's own and is now growing back. I think it is from such a drastic change in our food intake.
  4. Mine started a couple of days after surgery. It was annoying, but not terrible.
  5. Yay! Congrats. You are going to be amazed at how well the sleeve works. Sending hugs your way.
  6. The sleeve is totally different than the band. The band was just a big joke for me. It never really worked and I was still morbidly obese after 3 and a half years. The sleeve changed my life. It did take me 14 months to get to normal weight, but I got there. I am so happy. Personally, my food obsession has been drastically reduced from the surgery. Food doesn't run my life anymore. I do! You should try the sleeve and I do think you can be successful! The sleeve works.
  7. Awesome job so far! Congrats!
  8. It's normal to feel nervous. Don't stress too much! The sleeve is amazing and it will change your life in great ways. Good luck! You will do great.
  9. You look great! Congrats. I had a few slow months too. Then last month, I finally started losing again and got to a normal weight at 14 months out. Your body will let the weight go when it is ready. You have done amazing!
  10. Congrats! Welcome to an amazing journey! The sleeve is awesome.
  11. I am a normal weight. It is nice to go to the doctor and no longer fear the scale.
  12. I never had issues with caffeine. I always make sure to get in my water, along with my morning cup of coffee each day. I drank lots of hot tea right after surgery with no problems. I only used the five hour energy when I felt weak from not eating for days. A small sip would give me a litttle boost. I didn't need it once I was eating normal foods. You may be fine without it. I personally struggled with feeling weak on the liquid stage. Totally worth it though! I love my sleeve!
  13. Yay! Celebration time! Life is sooooo much better with the sleeve!
  14. Congrats on your revision. My band was awful but the sleeve got me to my goal. I wish you the best and I hope you heal fast!
  15. Congrats! You are making such a great decision! Let me know if you need anything.

I drink coffee every single morning. Never had a problem.
  17. I was a slow loser. At first, it really bothered me. I just decided that it might take me awhile, but I wasn't going to give up. I finally got to a normal weight after 14 months. Don't put a timeline on yourself. What's the rush anyway as long as you get there? Hugs and hang in there.
  18. Congrats! The sleeve is going to change your life in many great ways!
  19. Congrats and welcome! I am so glad you are choosing the sleeve. It is awesome! Best wishes and just know we are always here for you.
  20. I have had lots of stalls. It's just part of the process. Your body just needs time to adjust. You aure probably losing inches, even if the scale isn't going down. Hang in there!
  21. Absolutely, positively get the sleeve! I had a horrible time with my band. It never really worked and then it broke apart in my body causing me miserable pain. The sleeve is amazing. It gives you restriction all the time. You can eat what you want, although my tastes have changed quite a bit. I am now a normal weight 14 months post op from the sleeve. I am so happy. You should give yourself a second chance!
  22. I will say that my tastes really did change after surgery. I had to go back shopping to get things I could tolerate when I got home. It's good to stock up, just don't go too crazy. I do suggest a few 5 hour energy drinks. They helped give me a pick up the first few days when I felt wiped out. I would just sip a little here and there. Congrats on your upcoming surgery. You will love the sleeve!
  23. Congrats! You are going to love the sleeve. It works! My sleeve got me to a normal weight after a horrible nightmare with my band. So happy for you. : )
  24. So sorry you aren't doing so well. Try drinking warm drinks like hot tea. You may need an acid reducer, so ask your doctor. I would sip 5 hour energy to help make me feel better in the beginning. Please be careful so you don't get dehydrated. Hugs. It will get better, it just takes time to heal.
  25. I had bad reactions to dairy for about a year after my sleeve. I am now able to tolerate a little at 14 months out.
