The dreaded hair loss
I lost hair with my Lapland surgery, but not as much as I did with the VSG. I lost my hair until about a year out. It finally stopped on it's own and is now growing back. I think it is from such a drastic change in our food intake.

Time Of The Month During Your Surgery?
Mine started a couple of days after surgery. It was annoying, but not terrible.

Will A Revision Work For Me?
The sleeve is totally different than the band. The band was just a big joke for me. It never really worked and I was still morbidly obese after 3 and a half years. The sleeve changed my life. It did take me 14 months to get to normal weight, but I got there. I am so happy. Personally, my food obsession has been drastically reduced from the surgery. Food doesn't run my life anymore. I do! You should try the sleeve and I do think you can be successful! The sleeve works.

What Should I Try And Stock Up On?
I never had issues with caffeine. I always make sure to get in my water, along with my morning cup of coffee each day. I drank lots of hot tea right after surgery with no problems. I only used the five hour energy when I felt weak from not eating for days. A small sip would give me a litttle boost. I didn't need it once I was eating normal foods. You may be fine without it. I personally struggled with feeling weak on the liquid stage. Totally worth it though! I love my sleeve!

Anyone Disappointed In The Amount Of Weight Lost? Wish It Was More?
I was a slow loser. At first, it really bothered me. I just decided that it might take me awhile, but I wasn't going to give up. I finally got to a normal weight after 14 months. Don't put a timeline on yourself. What's the rush anyway as long as you get there? Hugs and hang in there.

Considering Vsg A Year After Band Removed....
Absolutely, positively get the sleeve! I had a horrible time with my band. It never really worked and then it broke apart in my body causing me miserable pain. The sleeve is amazing. It gives you restriction all the time. You can eat what you want, although my tastes have changed quite a bit. I am now a normal weight 14 months post op from the sleeve. I am so happy. You should give yourself a second chance!

What Should I Try And Stock Up On?
I will say that my tastes really did change after surgery. I had to go back shopping to get things I could tolerate when I got home. It's good to stock up, just don't go too crazy. I do suggest a few 5 hour energy drinks. They helped give me a pick up the first few days when I felt wiped out. I would just sip a little here and there. Congrats on your upcoming surgery. You will love the sleeve!

New To The Site...9Th Surgery Date, Not Doing Well
So sorry you aren't doing so well. Try drinking warm drinks like hot tea. You may need an acid reducer, so ask your doctor. I would sip 5 hour energy to help make me feel better in the beginning. Please be careful so you don't get dehydrated. Hugs. It will get better, it just takes time to heal.

Dumping With The Sleeve?
I had bad reactions to dairy for about a year after my sleeve. I am now able to tolerate a little at 14 months out.
