Well It depends on what type of solid foods your using. If you are eating lean protein( not fried) ,fruits and veggies you shouldn't gain. The gain didn't happen to me but I did like maintain couple days after. Maybe our bodies has to adapt to the change. Who knows?

All are right!! that don't make since...find a new doctor. I know people that has had it and done and didn't qualify thats why the self-paid.

Try doing liquids for 1 day... drinking warm teas n coffee too.

WOW! my doctor said NO Carbonation! Said it can erode ur band into ur stomach over time.

I'm sooo sorry. when I get that way I eat only fish, chicken or turkey baked and veggies ( no corn) and berries like blackberries, blueberries and strawberries. I eat 5x a day 1/2 each time. No dairy, No condiments and no Salt (ms.dash). Its like the micheal thurmond makeover diet. I drink lots of water and it really works. Hope u make it till fill. Maybe they will let u come in earlier. How did ur band slip?

Not right after surgery. i kept drinking the protein shakes they filled me up. You don't wanna mess ur band up. Its very hard I know! Try very hard. Its an emotional game. Sometimes it may be headhunger. I'm sorry ur going thru this.

WOW, liquid diet for 4-6 wks. I wish u all the luck, I did it for 2wks and was ready for my mushies! LOL ! Liquids are so hard for me.

Good Job. My pre-op diet was hard- liquids only for 5 days. Uhh, I failed on 2 of those days.

Guess all drs different. Mine says eat and drink before and then after for 2 days liquids.

I wish I would have NOT told anyone but my sisters and dad EVERYDAY! Its like we don't get credit for all the exercise or making the right food choices.

It is if your not eating enough protein. My had to drink more whey protein shakes and eat more baked fish for some meals; also drinking more water.

It happens to us all but remember the first 6mos will be your chance to lose ur most weight after that trust me it gets harder and its very easy to gain the weight back ( i know that as well) keep handly low cal protein shakes thicken them up with fruit in the blender, Greek Yogurt w/ granola & fruit or Turkey Jerky. Try hard to follow your doctors rules to Lapband Success. You can do this. Its all in the mind. I'm back in 99% lol. and its a daily hourly struggle.
