I started walking everyday this week for 50 minutes and I've gained 3 pounds. How is that possible. I'm almost 5 weeks post op and no fill yet. I eat 4 - 5 ounces, 4 times a day with a protein drink everyday. Not sure what my calorie count is. I cried this morning and feel completely defeated!
  2. So jealous of the people banded the same week as I that will are filled or getting filled in the coming days. I won't get my first fill until the 30th. So often in the past weeks I wanted to reverse this. I had so many questions, concerns, scares and I didn't want to burden my doctors office. Then I found this cite and answers to my questions. I think a lot of the answers here are even more honest then what I get from the staff. No one prepared me for the I am now surgically healed, no restriction weeks. I literally thought I had completely stretched my pouch and had a melt down. I now realize that I feel no restriction because I have no restriction. That will come with the fill. Question. When you were four weeks out from surgery, but not yet filled, how much could you eat? I am eating about 4-5 ounces 4-5 times a day. I know that physically I could eat more but I try VERY VERY hard not too. I do have actual hunger at times this week. ~Helena

And mine is Bandit. I'm pretty sure it falls into like a pet category. Like a pet, I choose this!

I was told that after fill sweet potato is a bad idea. High fiber content makes them too hard to pass. Are you banded? I love sweet potato.
  5. I thought I had it rough till I came here. My doctor did a liver panel on me presurgey, it was great. I didn't have to do more than 24 hours of clear liquids presurgical, many people seem to have to do 2 full weeks. I also started softs/mushies on the 6th day after surgery. I've healed great. I asked my doctor why the difference. She told me that she prefers we start getting in animal proteins and less synthetic proteins. Every doctor is different.

They are only right, if you let them be right. You chose to do this because you believed in yourself. You chose this to maybe achieve goals, reach dreams, find hope. YOU CHOSE THIS. Now do it the best that you can everyday. Nobody will do this perfectly! Everytime you ask yourself, are they right? Ask yourself what you will do to make them wrong!

I didn't tell my parent's either. My mom is a drama queen/hypercondriac and won't be supportive anyway. Somehow it will be about her. I also didn't tell my little brother. I will probably tell him eventually. He can make all the comments he want's since it's already done. I told those that will support me and offer positive energy. My coworkers don't know.
  8. :huh2:For two days now I reach overfill with any bite it seems. Today I went back to only liquids because the preselects made me fill the overfill pain yesterday. I am following the same schedule that I did the first 5 days for fluid intake and today I am at overfill again, and it hurts. I am also having trouble with stools. Can't say that I have really done that yet. I have taken MOM twice and end up with wet gas. Is this enough on a liquids diet? Advice appreciated.
