What have i done!!!

Well, it's been 3 days since my surgery. I am finally feeling better. Yesterday was terrible. I had gas pains so bad. I was so bloated, I felt 9 months pregnant. I am really sore today around my stomach mostly. I am starting to get hungry also. I would love to eat some chinese. :). I will be on full liquids for 2 wks. I cant imagine how I am going to just eat full liquids for 2 wks when I am already starving. I just keep thinking, what have I done??? Am I going to be able to do this? I think most are thinking I wont be able to stick to it. Maybe they are right.

They are only right, if you let them be right.

You chose to do this because you believed in yourself. You chose this to maybe achieve goals, reach dreams, find hope. YOU CHOSE THIS. Now do it the best that you can everyday. Nobody will do this perfectly!

Everytime you ask yourself, are they right? Ask yourself what you will do to make them wrong!

You have come this far, DO NOT give up on yourself or your resolve now. Like Fool said (above) prove the naysayers wrong.

Make a list of five reasons why you had this surgery. Put it on a sticky note. Refer to it as many times as you need to. You did not do this in vain!!!

OMG!!!I said the same words after surg! No one said it would be easy. Fool4dance said it well. And once you see that needle on that scale start to drop it’s all worth it!!! I used to listen to that Starving pain and noisy stomach of mine but now its just noise to me. Don’t worry everything will fall into place. Do lots of walking that should help the gases.Best of luck on your journey and keep us posted

There's no turning back now, so time to embrace the new you! Get the Chinese food right off your mind. It's not good for you anymore, start (after the liquid phase) thinking about ways to nourish your body, not how to fill it. Remind yourself that failing yourself is not an option, because you are strong and have made this change to better yourself! I promise the pain will go away and you will come out stronger and healthier than you have been in years! Believe in yourself! You deserve the best!!!

I was right with you not two weeks ago! Don't worry, you will change your mind and soon! I didn't even lose any weight until I went off liquids so don't let that discourage you. I had said many times those first two weeks, "I did this to MYSELF!" (crying) now I say, "I did this FOR myself!" It is an adjustment for your entire self, mentally and physically. Try to have patience - it is a small amount of time in the big picture ! You WILL be a success!
