Almost There But I Am In Trouble!!!
liquids = diverticulitis ( I have to consume liquids and such after an attack. Roughage of any sort is out of the question for me ) Flu bug? Just getting over it. Don't eat with the gang. Chances are you may find someone else who isn't a one for all and all for one person who prefers a quiet dinner. Did I mention room service? The kitchen can accomidate you. Low fat, cooked well for easy digestion. Whatever makes it easy on you.

Almost There But I Am In Trouble!!!
I would go to the conference/training but that's just me. For the next four days drink Water, water, water, room temperature. Having had horrendous heartburn I can tell you what to stay away from, anything caffinated like coffee, tea and chocolatey. Run from tomatoes. They kill me. Stay with a bland diet. chicken, baked. Potatoes, baked. If you are still hungry go with cheese and water.

blue cross blue shield
Sweet! Have you...gone to Weight Watchers? Jenny Craig? Have you been on: The Cabbage Soup Diet The TWA Stewardess Diet The Low Carb Diet The high carb low fat diet The Canadian hockey team diet? The wrestlers weigh-in diet The all fruits and cheese diet Beets and wheats diet? My point is these are all attempts at weight loss by other means. I've been on so many diets and diet club memberships I could've paid for my surgery.

The dreaded word: Exclusion
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida has an exclusion on my plan. I can't understand it either. Are they that stupid? If BCBS of Texas is a go, and I would check, double check, and triple check the policy, then go for it. You want to look for the requirements for surgery approval. Some make you wait six months for a doctor supervised diet. If you have already had that don't worry. Just check.

Sliming--UGH!
I was told salads as in lettuce and leafy vegetables are not band friendly. I haven't slimed. I don't think I want to.

Drove 2.5 Hours and FillUSA called to cancel
I look at signs too. Sometimes it's a sign of a non professional doctor who waited to call you at the last minute when you were six miles away...but on the other hand, if you feel like you are doing well then stick by it. If I was still losing I'd stick by it too.

Please help - getting ready for wedding
My daughter said she didnt' want to look like a "marshmellow bride". She was a 14 and Queen at homecoming in high school four years ago. She put on quite a bit her second year of college. She's now going the other way on the scale and taking her health seriously. She's lost 26 pounds!! yay for her. This is her wedding gown:

REJECTED being too fat
I'm sorry the idiots at whatever company think it's not beneficial. If you see my ticker, you can see my BMI was 62 at the time I began. It is still over 49. I'm losing weight. Fortunately my size has been documented. I think I'm going to crash an AMA convention or some insurance convention where they say this outloud. I would fight it but that's just me.

Please help - getting ready for wedding
I can appreciate your situation as a reality with my daughter. We too bought a 14 based on a prior gown she bought. Her wedding is next year. She has 50 pounds to lose. The best you can do is what folks have recommended here and stick to it. I would wait until three months before the wedding to get a first fit. The truth about those dresses is they DO come in odd sizes. They run a size off. Each dress is unique. Try it on when you get it. Try it on in two months. Corset's can be a girl's best friend. Good luck.

This is What I'm Going to Wear!
This morning I'm wearing a pullover that is technically a top. I'm using it as a night shirt. It is dropping below my tummy. puddin...you rock. I love your in the mirror photo with the hat on. Your BEFORE looks a little like me now only I'm bigger. My hooters are huge. I love all kinds of fun clothes and fabrics and silky things that glide on. I will have a serious shopping addiction but going to stores doesn't appeal to me. Designing clothes makes me quiver!!!! One day.....I'm going to Universal Studios Halloween Horrow Nights and I'm going to look like one of the main characters! HAHHAHA. Oh yea.

Lap band woes and more
Wow. Well best of luck to you on this. Congrats on the 52! Way to go. I'm sorry for your present hassles. ............................................. Folks I am flat wigging out. I mean it. I'm an emotional rock crusher right now. I have ZERO tolerance for foul odors. One day something tastes good, the next I could and would gag. I screamed at my family for taking such advantage of me. I normally work my AZZ off and have so since they were born and since I married. This is some 25 years. I tried to return to work this week and my job requires HIGH levels of mental processing. I just could not do it. So now I am home. I sent them to the store last night for FOUR items. food items that I can eat. Someone decided I didn't NEED one or two things. I flipped out. I am feeling like at a critical time when I need some support and YES pampering, they are bailing on me. Does anyone remember labor and what TRANSITION was during labor? THAT is what this feels like.

Losing Weight Fast
Hi Deanna They are actually called water crackers. Pepperidge Farm makes water crackers but these were by Carrs. They are a round white cracker. No salt, rather bland, not fatty. Got another one for you. stepped it up to BABY food. Oh yeah! Gerber saved the day with peas and carrots that tasted like they were just picked. Mac and cheese with that and the cheese was not oily. This came in a frozen entree for Phase 3 toddlers. I think I'm turned on to baby food now! I think grown up Soup is even too much for me to handle. Lap Dance. ...(winks) give me six months.

Losing Weight Fast
I had the best meal for the first time in a week last night. I went to Google and searched Phase Two Lap Band Diet. I read some tips on drinking the Protein supplement in two ounce spurts all day. Yesterday I returned to work and after a few hours thought I would pass out. Partly I think to not enough protein/sustenance. I got very soft herbal and garlic gourmet cheese and Water crackers. I took about an hour to eat six crackers with the cheese on top wetting the crackers down as I ate with AdvantEDGE Carb Control. This proved to be a great meal. I was not weak, sick nor did my stomach hurt. Last night was a great night! Feeling much stronger today.
