  1. Ok I know I posted about it on my status thingy but I wanted a post too! Anyway I work at a school for emotionally disturbed children. I absolutely LOVE what I do. But it can be hard at times. I hear "fat B*tch* pretty often. But, I'm rather used to it.. and don't let it get to me. I have been wondering lately if any of the kids have noticed my weight loss. I mean everyone else is ALWAYS commenting on it.. so Yeah. Today I'm sitting in my area with a student who is waiting on his bus. We start talking. Him: Can I ask you a question? Me: Sure! Him: Have you lost weight? Me: (unsure what to say!) Does it look like it?! Him: Yes, so did YOU?! lol. I just loved it! YAY! Plus both my brothers have now commented on my weight loss. telling me I look great. this is HUGE for me because I have ALWAYS been so much bigger than them
  2. Happy early birthday to YOU! Congratulations. I enjoyed reading your story!
  3. Hope you feel better soon! I'm jealous of your vacation.
  4. That's awesome! Hopefully you'll still like that post op. I had one Protein shake I could do pre op... absolutely not now. I try to get a lot of protein in through food now because I have a hard time getting it in with the shakes.
  5. I woke up without a tube! Hopefully you will too!
  6. It's a tool.... work it! It'll do as much as you allow it to.
  7. Since a lot of people have answered your other questions I will say this... I suffer from depression, it's been a battle since I was a teenager. I have noticed that things are A LOT better since surgery. As the weight comes off I'm seeing more and more new things
  8. Maybe some sugar free candies?
  9. The weight will come off. Maybe your body is just in shock right now. Plus, your scale may be different then theirs! Good luck! =)
  10. I hope it's nothing serious. And, that you're feeling better!
  11. Best of luck to you! Congratulations! My sleeve is my best friend. I absolutely love it! I'm sure you'll love yours also!!
  12. Hello! Good luck on your surgery! How long was it before you were up and walking the halls after your surgery, and how long was your first walk? Honestly I wanted so badly to walk after surgery. But this was my first surgery, and I was in SO much pain that I couldn't. I didn't start really doing "laps" until day 3. How much pain were you in when you first came out of the anesthesia? I was in a lot of pain. I was also VERY nauseous. How long was it before you were able to sip at some Water? When was water first offered to you? I wasn't offered anything until the second day AFTER my leak test! How long were you in the hospital for? Would you have stayed longer if you could? I was only in there for 1 night. I'm not sure if they would of let me stayed. I almost asked.. I didn't think I was ready to go home. But, once I got home things got easier. Once you went home how long was it before you could drive? I don't drive, so I don't know. Sorry! But, I would say as long as you not on pain medication you should be just fine! How long did it take to get to a point where you could move around fairly well with only moderate discomfort? On the 3rd day I was feeling pretty good! I was up moving around. TAKE THINGS SLOWLY! I would say from day 3 on every day gets a little easier than the last. Good luck! And, Congratulations!
  13. You took the words right from my mouth! Today IS a new day Good luck!
