  1. I was almost 3 months post op on my birthday, and I had the same issue. It was hard, but I managed as I'm sure you will to! One of the things I do now when I'm out to eat is find somewhere that will let you share the plate for a small fee. Then you and hub can share dinner... and that alone is sweet! And, I just try to talk more and eat slower! good luck
  2. That is SOOOOOOOO cool! Congrats
  3. thinking of you! and hoping you feel better soon1
  4. It's not a mess up, it's a learning experience! Hope you're feeling better.
  5. I have heard such great things...I need to check out . thanks for the reminder!
  6. My surgeon is Dr. Christopher You in Baltimore, Maryland at Franklin Square. He is an AMAZING doctor and I have a lot of respect for him!
  7. I can't say if it's normal or not... but I haven't experienced it!
  8. I was happy he talked about WLS... but I think it SUCKED that it ONLY talked about Lapband. I feel like the sleeve is HARDLY ever mentioned.... and people NEVER get to hear ALL sides of WLS. However, I do think they did a good job at staying positive about going the WLS route. I kept hearing ITS A TOOL! IT needs to be worked. Rather than what I expected... bashing people who decide to go through WLS
  9. Tonight I am putting them on my bathroom sink... and plan to do about the same thing
  10. I don't remember the exact time. Make sure you feel comfortable enough to try it. I tried it for the first time last weekend. I an 3 months post op... and it just didn't feel right. My stomach gurgled funny. I was so looking forward to it too!
  11. JCPenney's had some CUTE dresses on clearance. There was on I fell in LOVE with! I was looking online! good luck! I feel you on being discouraged with nothing to wear. I love losing weight but it REALLY sucks when you have an event you want to look REALLY good for and you cant find any thing that "looks" right!
  12. I'd suggest the bagel things first. They're easy. Then, try the real deal! I ate a bagel the other day and felt bad immediately after
  13. While this time you ARE losing, will you be able to maintain that loss? For me, I could NEVER maintain a loss for long. So I needed a more permanent solution.
  14. That does seem like a LOT of food for being so early out. I'd suggest measuring your food and only eating what you pre-measured.
  15. The sleeve works as well as you work it! I was sleeved on 12-20 and immediately after I was like WHAT THE HECK DID I DO?! Day three I was feeling much better and was happy again. Today I'm 3 months post op, down 85 pounds, 28.5 inches, 13 points off my BMI and I feel AMAZING! You're making a GREAT step to a new HEALTHIER you
  16. Just updating!!! MRSKOUBiK.........252....................231..............217.................14

  19. Just follow any instructions your surgeon gives you! Use this forum to the fullest, there's tons of people who will be able to help you. In the beginning I tried to limit my carbs and sugar intake, 3 months out I still try to do it but it's not as bad as before. I have a blog if you wanna check it out! www.mamamonner.blogspot.com =) Good luck!
  20. Whoohoo! That's exciting. Props to you! I couldn't wait that long between weigh ins!
