  1. Nicole, I am exactly where you are! I was banded Aug.3, and have lost 34 pounds by sheer will. Still that is 10 pounds a month, and you really don't want to loose more than that or your skin will be wrinkly and loose! I also have to wait 23 days to get my next fill, and those are going to be really long days. I guess we both kinda have to slow down and take it one day at a time ( I know really corny, but it's true)! I did check out your blog and got a good chuckle about your bad day! Been there done that! Well all for now! ~Kelly~
  2. lmfao.......been there!lol
  3. I tried to have one before my second fill and ended up yaking it up! And that was with only one small fill. I believe it is those pesky buns (that are loaded with bad carbs!)!
  4. I am 100% right where you are......23 days to my 3rd fill, I am praying I get that restriction everyone talks about that "wowzers" feeling! I can surely eat 2 cups.....and still get hungry 2 hours after eating..food is still on my mind all the time (bummer). But, I am walking and journaling everyday hopefully that will get me through!
  5. Instead of candy......why not try a weightwatchers icecream! They are only 150 calories and totally curb that chocolate urge! BOH YAH:wink::thumbup:
  6. I want to know why when I scrolled down this page there was an add for a giant hamburger! Who does this kind of thing? How very incensitive!
  7. If you go to a good qualified lap band surgeon, they usually have a therapist who is knowledgeable about this specific procedure! Besides, it is You who are living in your body and know if you are unhappy with Your body. At my highest weight I was 262, I was miserable! I couldn't care less if some therapist told me I shouldn't do this! I couldn't care less what anyone thought.......I wanted this! NO-one could have talked me out of it! Just do some more research yourself! And I hate to say it, but can the therapist! Peace out ~Kelly~
  8. lol I have never not been able to guzzle.....what does sip mean? lol
  9. Why are you still on protein shakes? Shouldn't you be on food?
  10. Happy, happy, happy bandiversary! What an inspiration! I hope I can reach my goal by my 1 year bandiversary! Wow, hats off!
  11. hummingbird you said what I meant!
  12. Isn't that up to your friend?
  13. When I had surgery back on Aug.3,2010....I was put on a straw diet for four weeks! My Dr. never said anything about not using straws! Go figgur'
  14. I believe it mostly has to do with genetics! Good genes definetly help.
  15. LMAO.......I will certainly remember that one!
  16. lmfao you are too funny.......No wait I remember when I was in the womb and she was cussing me out for giving her morning sickness!
  17. plus I am logging every single thing I do or eat or drink or think! I have successfully lost 34 pounds in 9 weeks, I have not gone hungry(because I'm eating the right things) I went through bandster hell and bitched about it in Aug. rush 2010, but in retrospect I think the big thing here is that people expect the pounds to just roll off.......that ain't gonna happen....you ARE going to have to work for it: It Is going to take time (which is what you will have now that you have taken a step to prolong it). You WILL have to learn new eating skills (which has been a pleasure for me)! That's pretty much all I have to say right now, I have a major thunder and lightening storm , with tons of rain and I am damn glad I am here to enjoy this!
