  1. hi hun... 7 months post op, I had to have a port revision s my port was in a bad spot causing me alot of discomfort, then they figured out that it had also flipped, and gotten a kink in the tubing... They went in through an original scar and gave me a new port and tubing, and moved the port to a spot alot less likely to cause me pain, and thus far it has worked.... Good luck!!!
  2. HOLY CRAP...you look FABULOUS!!!! I am still about 60 lbs or so away from goal but I know when I get there I will need AND want ps.... Did your insurance cover it? If not, how much did it cost if you dont mind my asking....
  3. Hi Ken S. I have been trying for a couple of HOURS now to post something on a friends "page"here and it wont let me.... It keeps saying "done... but with errors on the page" and when I refresh it, the same thing.... I cant even UPDATE my OWN profile.... Whats up with that???
  4. Congrats on your fill.... I just had my first one yesterday... I got 5cc's in my 11 cc band... I go back in 2 weeks for another fill.... I was really afraid it would hurt also, but it was nothing...just a little pinch.... Good luck on your journey.... Janica
  5. This coming monday I will be 8 weeks post op, and I just today got my first fill... I was TERRIFIED of having it done, I thought it was going to hurt like none other.... But it actually just felt as if some one had pinched me in the tummy.... They put 5 cc's into my 11 cc band.... and I am scheduled to go back in 2 weeks for another fill....Im not afraid anymore... I cant wait to see the numbers on the scale moving again... YAYYYY:lol:
  6. Anyone else having problems getting into the chat feature here tonight??? Thanks....
  7. Congrats on the band... hows it going for you? I got mine on June 30th... things are going good for me, with the exception of my bowels also...Since I started on soft foods Ive been having a bit of trouble with them, I just take a stool softener 2 times a day... seems to help.... Hang in there.... I hear it all gets better Do you ever go into the chat room? I go a couple times a day....See you there maybe....
  8. I was also banded June 30th... I lost initially however the last couple of days I have been feeling like I am not getting full when I eat, and that I could just eat and eat adn eat... it IS frustrating... I dont go for my first fill for 4 more weeks... I ahve a call into my doc to see what they want me to do... Good luck on your journey...Keep me posted....
  9. Good Morning everyone... I am 20 days post op today and the last couple of days after I eat (Im on soft foods) I do not feel full like I did right after surgery.... Whats going on? I have a call into my doctor to see what they want me to do... I am not scheduled for my first fill for at least anothe 4 weeks... I am trying not to feed my face, but when I feel like I am not getting enough to eat that is REALLY hard not to do... Any suggestions???
  10. I saw my doc for my first post op on the 13th, all looks great.. I am doing really well also...I was moved to pureed's for 5 days then on to softs as tolerated... So I am slowlyyyy introducing more and more soft things... Today for lunch I had 2 small turkey medalions with mashed taters and gravy and some very well cooked carrotts.... I cant wait for my first fill, they said I might get it when I go in for my next appointment in 5 weeks.... Keep me posted... Take Care... Janica
  11. I dont get my first fill for about another 5 weeks out... I am 16 days post op and have lost 21 lbs since surgery... I was in the chat room the other day and someone came in and said they had just had their first fill, and that they PASSED out from it:eek:... I was freaked out about getting the first one already BUT thats made it 100 times worse for me... I have 6 tattoos, does it hurt worse than getting a tat? LOL Im a wimp when it comes to pain... How do I prepare for getting a fill? Anything special? I wish you all luck and good health on your journey....Thanks for the information....
  12. I had very watery stools for over a week and a half after surgery... Make sure you are getting enough fluids in or you can get dehydrated, I did and it sucked BIG time.... I am 14 days post op today, and I also have my first post op appointment today...So I will be talking to the doc about progressing my diet to soft foods...I know I got sick of jello and popsicles when I was first banded, with in the first few days... Good Luck and keep us posted....
  13. Im a drinker too... It has always been a habit for me to sip while I eat, BUT I KNOW if I do it, I wont be as successful at attaining my goal as I want to be... Now with that said, I must say this, keep in mind I am only 2 weeks post op, so it is easier said than done right now.... ask me about it when I get on to more solid foods.... I just know this.... they make these rules to help us attain our goals and be successful at weightloss so we can have better lives... I didnt go through all I went through to be able to have the surgery only to self sabotage it.... Good luck on your journey....
