Students? Here's a tip...
Idiots! Especially the one who LET the other cheat of them, what do they gain from it other than a fail!?

All you people do is complain...
I spent a couple of weeks in the Chicago and CA a month before my band and I lived on in-n-out, Steak and Shake and Arby's. LOVED IT (no wonder I was so fat huh?). We sure don't have fast food and burger places like that here in Australia (probably a good thing!).

I hate it when people post just to post.....
I'm scared I'll do the same thing! Thats why I am going to get something that I can expand on later if I want, and do it bit by bit.

This thread is going to be sooo inappropriate!
Ok so can I clear this up - not only are you a band hater you're ageist too? The post to which you were replying was simply Angelica's opinion and you go off on a tangent about her being under 30, which some how in your books means she's not entitled to an opinion? (as does being over 200 pounds or still banded in your book it appears) I don't recall anything she said as explicitly saying or even implying that she knew anything more than you, but that didn't stop you from doing the exact same thing. Just calling it as I see it.

Hijackers!
If you just cut it off, it should stop itching. I did that to my itchy toe and it was fine. Speaking of cutting it off, should I cut my hair?

I'm a bit behind today but I wanted to say I love your tattoo BBK! I've just decided over the weekend that I am probably going to get a tattoo for my 30th birthday this year. This is the one I love right now. Will depend whether I decide to give up on plastics for ever as to whether I get it down my back or a variation across one of my shoulders.

How much to eat months, years lapbanded
I have never measured the amount of food I eat. I did buy myself smaller bowls and plates so I didn't serve myself much food in the beginning but I know now about how much I can eat and just serve that. Just to give you an idea, I have a Protein shake for Breakfast most days, and eat about a cup (I'm guessing) of food for lunch, perhaps a little more for dinner. I try to eat healthy Snacks if I need them (which isn't every day), but I still eat chocolate more than I probably should. I've been banded 16 months.

I hate it when people post just to post.....
Don't worry I just went there in another thread. I mean if some one wants to rant, they should at least make sure the spelling is correct so the audience can understand and read it, right?

Common sense anyone?
I agree with this wholeheartedly, but my concern goes deeper again. I REALLY wonder about the people who post threads saying things like "I didn't know I had to do any pre/post op diet or I didn't know it would hurt, or I didn't know I would get shoulder tip pain etc etc my Dr didn't give me ANY instructions AT ALL about anything. I thought I'd be fine and get back to life a few days after surgery". (all just examples, of course there are exceptions). Are they serious? Who on earth lets someone, even an apparently qualified surgeon even near their body if they haven't given any pre/post op and future life "this is how its going to affect you FOREVER" instructions? I mean surely they aren't THAT stupid to think that the surgery is so minor and routine that you have to do nothing to prepare for it and nothing changes afterwards? You wouldn't get a knee reconstruction without getting detailed info from the Dr, right?? All I can say is that if my surgeon had of been that vague, I would have run from his office as fast as my fat little butt could carry me. I also wonder though if people are being given this information like I was in a big booklet from my Dr (and could of course go and see him if I had further questions at any time) and don't spend the time reading it.....

Perth,wa liposuction surgeons
I was recently quoted $20,000 for a lower body lift, no lipo. I guess a tt would be a few grand less than that?? Thats including anethesiologist and a compression garment. My insurance (NIB) won't cover it, so I'm not having it done. For now, anyway. Oh and thats not in perth, but I thought I'd post to give an idea of an Aussie quote

All you people do is complain...
I find it annoying when people rant in super huge coloured letters in an attempt to get our attention, but can't even spell. (and before anyone corrects me, we spell "coloured" with a U in Australia ). I mean not only does what you're saying sound like a big pile of crap, you can't even spell what you're trying to say so we can understand it properly. Now who is being annoying???? Hmmmm?

How is life at goal?
I'm approaching goal too and hope that I can maintain in a healthy way once I get there, because thats the way I have lost so far. I most certainly have not been some one who has "enjoyed being able to eat normal foods and stop after 3 bites" like a previous poster in this thread. I would pass out and suffer from malnutrition if I'd done that given that I have made exercise a part of my life now too. But to each their own I guess..... I do eat normal food, but just A LOT less than I did pre-band (but certainly more than 3 bites!).

Total Loss Goals - how did you decide?
- How did you pick your weight loss goal? I weighed around my goal weight for a millisecond in my early 20's and I liked how it felt, so I want to get back there again. - Do you have the same goal you did when you started? No, I've adjusted it down twice by 5 kilos (about 10 pounds) each time. I never thought I could get down there but the more I lost, I realised that I actually might! I may adjust it down further when I get there if I think I want to lose more. - Did you go with the weight suggested by your clinic, or pick something higher or lower, and if so, why? I picked something lower. My surgeon picked 187 for me, which I KNEW from day dot that I would exceed, because I didn't want to still be medically overweight for my height.

I agree Lauren. No pissed-offness here either. Its a very rational sensible argument you've made there. Shame some others can't see that though......

I hate it when people post just to post.....
I hear you on this. Actually I could work harder and run a couple of extra kms a day or another day a week, but damnit I've been gaining and losing the same kilo FOR WEEKS AND WEEKS. Why can't it just leave and be gone!?

Top LB surgeons in sydney? who are they
My lap band surgeon won't see patients with out a referral (I'm not in Sydney either). My suggestion is to first find another GP who will give you a referral. You might find you won't even be able to get an appointment to see a surgeon with out a referral. It took a fair bit of convincing my conservative GP to give me a referral, so I feel your pain.
