Boxing class
If you've been working out already I think you should adjust fairly quick. I was only sore after the first 2 or 3 classes now I'm not anymore which actually bothers me a but

POSITIVELY GIDDY!!!
Excellent! I wear scrubs too and I know how they can fit. My hips are also my widest part, so it seems to take longer to change sizes due to that. And the top are if the tops have sometimes to much room but a smaller size won't fit over my hips

Working Out
I was given the ok for cardio when I went for my post op check up at 9 days post op and told to wait like 2 or 3 more weeks to start with the weight machines. Every doc is different though

Birth control question
Well no one ever answered my question so I got dome new ones and see if anyone will help me this time. So I went and the doc gave me loestrin. She said it shouldn't make me gain weight or effect it at all. I've been on it 4 days now and I was supposed to get my period before I started it but could not bear another day that I wanted to vomit, so I started it early. I usually cramp like 5 days before my period and the day of gets bad then it stops. I was supposed to start it yesterday and I am still cramping (not bad). My weight is up think because I was supposed to get TOM but haven't been up like this in months only 1 lb but still. I am feeling kind of tired, is this normal when you first start bc? Has anyone taken loestrin and has it affected their weight loss? Please help!!!

HEARTBURN!! :(
Collister if your heartburn persists I would call the doc. About 10 days after I was banded I had really painful heartburn 3 days in a row in the evening nit sure why, I was about to call my doc but it never reoccured.

Question for the ladies re: birth control
So on Sunday I started taking loestrin. Not for contraception but to control some bad symptoms I get on the first day of my period. First I was supposed to get my period yesterday but I started taking the bc early because I couldn't get those symptoms yet again. I'm no just spotting a tiny bit I know thats normal. But I was wondering my wright was up this week by a pound, I'm attributing it due to the fact I was supposed to get TOM. So even though I'm not going to fully get it will that pound come off? Or will it stick around til I get TOM again when I get towards the end of the pack? Also since I've started it I feel like I've been a little more tired, is this normal? Has anyone else taken loestrin and has it affected your weight loss? I told my doc I did not want one that affected your weight and she said this one doesn't but I read reviews online and a bunch of them said it did. Thanks for your advice

Boxing class
The first time I took my kickboxing class the next day I was so sore. I was at work and I was like shuffling around work because I was so sore. After the next class I felt better and even better the class after that. Just keep pushing and you'll be fine

thowing up/regurgitating
You need to get an endoscopy as recommended by your dr. I've read your posts and what is happening to you is not right

regret city....what have i done?
The only bread that I absolutely love is garlic knots. Omg I love them. I only have a fill of whatever was in my band when it was placed and I can eat anything I want. Although I do try to stay away from bread when I can. Like today they brought in a hero at work. I thought about it, but was like eating all that bread is not really worth it to me, so I decided to eat the chicken I brought with me instead

avg. weight loss after the band
Recently my average has been 1 lb per week. It is kind of disappointing to me especially since I've been doing 6 kickboxing classes a week

hurt when eating
I had a problem at lunch today after I ate My stomach really hurt for a good 15 minutes or so. Kind of felt like I ate to much but it was painful. While I was eating I felt like I was still hungry and this happened after I was done. Could something have been stuck? I have only a tiny bit of fill from surgery and am 5 months post op. I've never had this feeling before. Like I said it lasted like 15 minutes of pain after I just felt uncomfortable. I just had dinner and had no problems

not a good day back to work
Are you positive there is nothing in your band? When I originally asked my PA if I had anything in my band she said the the band comes with something in it ( I assume to keep it from sticking to itself).

Gastro Scope??
For an endoscopy you are put under propofal. I've seen animals wake from it and was like sure I'll be fine to drive. They told me you need someone to drive you home. You know what they were right, there was no way I would have been able to drive myself home

4 meals today?
My surgeon also said 3 meals no snacking. I do have little snacks in between. Like WW string cheese and other healthy stuff. I believe in multiple small meals. Also the fact I can't get enough calories in 3 meals

no restricrion
Now don't misunderstand me, I do have restriction, just with the band (and whatever was in it from surgery). If I did start to get hungry and start struggling I would totally get a fill. I just don't want to end up to tight. This past week I have been struggling a bit but I believe it is due to TOMs imminent arrival and not due to me losing restriction. So when you do get banded don't feel you have to struggle just because you are afraid to vomit. Just realize the band is not going to stop you from eating, it just helps curve your hunger
-
pain killers
I'm surprised it wasn't discussed with you before surgery that NSAIDs with the band continuously is not recommended
-
good gynecologist for lap band patients
I just went to get started on birth control to control symptoms I get and I just told them I did not want any one that caused weight gain As for it affecting anything else, it will not affect anything. So you can go to any gyno

Are you satisfied with "Average" weight loss???
I want to do it all! Right now I am aiming for the high end on normal bmi. Which at 5'2" my goal is 135 lb. I am fine with exercise I found something I love which is kickboxing, later on I might switch to some form of martial arts though.

Is this common?
My first week post op I was on clear liquids and my instructions said only 4oz at a time, so that's all I had, I probably could've taken more but I was being careful. That first week I probably only got like 1/4 of the recommended protein in a day. I had tried things like Isopure before hand and could not even swallow it. So the only protein I had was the unjury chicken soup flavor at 20 grams a scoop and u had 1/2 of that 3 times per day. Ok so maybe I got 1/2 the protein in lol. Yeah so if you can't finish it, I wouldn't worry.

When did you start to feel better?
I felt like crap the first day, the second day was a lot better and the third was almost normal. Only took the pain mess first two days when I was uncomfortable (not every 4 hours). Of course getting up fir the next few days I was sore but not sore enough for drugs.

7 weeks Post OP ~ Vacation
I went on vacay about 7 weeks out from my surgery too. I was on normal foods at that point. To be honest I did not eat as good as I should have, but 5 out of the 7 days I woke up early and walked in the beach and was on my feet most of the day (we were doing a spay/neuter clinic) and the walking and standing won out of my poor eating (we were cooked for mist days so I did not really have a choice in what I ate) I came back and had lost 1/2-1 lb. Not a lot but good for being on vacation

Blood donation
I donated blood six weeks after surgery. I had looked it up on the web and it said as long as your back to normal activity you can donate. I did tell them when I went too just to verify it was ok
-
no restricrion
I have no fill and I can eat anything I want. I have restriction just from the band. If that does ever go away (hopes it doesn't) I will not allow myself to become so tight that I can't eat things. I have never PB'd or been stuck or slimed or anything

Is an EKG and a Chest CT normal pre-op testing before surgery?
EKG is, I had a chest X-ray, don't think a ct is normal to be done
-
Bariatric Advantage?
I tried their vitamins the one optimized for lap band. It was totally nasty I couldn't even swallow one.
