Month post op and in unbearable pain
I got worried after I ate them thinking it wasn't such a good idea but I didn't have any pain so I thought it was fine. I was at work at the hospital (went home early since I was on too much pain) they told me to take milk of magnesia and my pain meds. They said if it isn't better by morning I need to go to the dr. The pain is in my stomach and in my lower back. It has gotten better since today. My pain on a scale of 1 to 10 was a 9 or even 10 but now it is a 6 or 7

Mine was 4-6 weeks. My dr told me to just take it slow until I know my body can handle it.

Month post op and in unbearable pain
I work night shift at the hospital. I ate at 3 am, went to bed at 8 am, and then woke up in pain aroud 10 am. I don't know what is wrong! After getting up and down half a dozen times from 10 to 1 I finally took my pain meds that I have taken since post op week two and took a hot bath. I went to sleep at two and when I woke at 6 I again was in unbearable pain. I had a couple BM's but it feels like I still need to. Does anyone have advice? I am in do much pain right now (it is 830 pm and I don't get off work til 7 am).

Post Op Day 2, but the GAS? Help
Gas-x strips were my best friend! A heating pad helps while your not walking but walking really is the best thing for you. I know I didn't feel like it every time I did it made me feel better. Once you can start drinking something warm helps your stomach and when you first wake up your stomach is tight as something warm helps that tight feeling. Last but not least don't try to be a super hero Take Your Pain Meds before the pain gets too bad!!

Incisions are getting itchy and glue is coming off
I had that too.. I was so scared but it was fine.. The being itchy is a VERY good thing since it means you are healing. What happened to me is I put water pruff bandaids on to swim and one of them took the glue off when I took it off since it was a little too small. It was healed fine but I still waited a day to mess with the others. It was fine but I like you was scared since I want my scars to be as small as possible.

What do you wish for?
I am post op but here is my list. Some have already come to pass but I wanted to make a list too :thumbup1: 1.) Not have the Dr. tell me I need to lose weight every visit. 2.) Not to be in fear of diets or to have everyone tell me how I could lose weight (like I'm not trying *roll eyes*) 3.) To have ONE chin 4.) To meet someone, even get married maybe, and have lots and lots of good sex. 5.) To live to be an old women (my dad passed away from a stroke at 59) 6.) To pick up some type of sport even if Im bad 7.) To walk stairs without getting winded 8.) Not to ever again be explain to someone that does know me as the big bone women "BBW" 9.) No more chapping 10.) To love my body!!

July 2010's NEW losers!
Oh okay I was wondering how I miss read that. On a side note I don't eat carbs (example: bread pasta) and that helps a lot since it fills you up so fast. It helps me get more Protein and vegs. Plus I was told the carb stuff is what causes your stomach to get bigger over time since it expands. I think that is what has helped me loss weight so fast.

July 2010's NEW losers!
I still have issues getting protein and I'm a month out. The only way I get it is from protein shots I get from the health food store. That is crazy you just got your drain removed! I got mine removed on day two post op. Soup was my bestfriend when I was at two weeks. Also drinking something warm first thing in the morning really helps since your stomach is tight. That might help with the gaging. Also have you been watching how fast you are eating. Make sure to eat slower and hicups are my sign when I'm full.

I really could use some advice
I think the main thing pulling me to do it is helping others. I had so many questions pre op and the more info out there the better. I guess I shouldn't care who knows but I am so use to hissing in the back ground so ppl can't talk about me.

Dr. Rodriguez (Tijuana mexico)
It was fine. They just asked me why I was going to Mexico, why Mexico and not the US, who was my doctor (think he just wanted to see if I was lying) how much cash on hand, how I would pay since I had such liitle amount of cash (cashiers check), and how long was out stay. It didn't take long at all. Maybe 15 min to get into Mexico. It looks kinda scary to be honest but it isn't. When we got there and the driver walked us in. He made sure to meet us up with someone else before leaving. When we left it took an hour and half to get back into the states. Once we got to the gate it was pretty fast but it was a long line. They pretty much just asked why we were there and I think our passport did the rest of the talking for us. I was pretty out of it on the way back so I'm I don't remember word for word what they asked. If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

If given the choice younger
I am 23 and i'm glad I did it! I feel like I have a second chance at life. My only worry is I'm down 27 lbs in 30 days. I'm very happy about hitting goal; just a little worried losing weight this fast means Ill have issues having enough weight. Wow, I honestly never thought I would worry about losing too much weight!
-
the scale is not moving AGAIN
I'm sorry you are having to deal with this! As far as I have read it is normal to hit that point. But one this I have seen a lot is people start lowering their carb in take and it gets the ball rolling again. Good luck! Keep us updated.

I really could use some advice
I had the TGVP aka Super Sleeve done on 7-12-10 and after a month I lost 27 lbs. I sent BeLiteWeight my update info and now they are wanting me to be their poster child for the super sleeve. They are even willing to pay me for rights to the pictures I send them. I am really wanting advice on if I should do it or not. As wonderful as it sounds to be one of the faces of the super sleeve, I'm just wanting to make sure others think it is okay to put my face out there like that. My sister is the poster child for her dr in Texas for her lap band (she lost over 100 lbs and has kept it off for four years now) but she she very open about her wls. Not a lot of people know I had wls. So I guess that is part of my worry. Would you do it if asked? Have you done it?

When I'm bored I eat... Oh wait I can't..
I do understand that feeling of why am I looking for something to eat? But it is so empowering to me that Im able to say, "Why am I looking for food?" and then walk away to do something else. I never seemed have that full feeling before..

All pre op should watch this video
I was freaking out about the drain and kept talking to him while he was looking at it. I was so busy freaking out that he was done before I even knew he started lol.. I work at the hospital with total knees and total hips that always have a drain. Most people always tell me it wasn't as bad as they thought it would be.
