I also can not wait to get things moving. I love to read about everyone who has had their surgery and is doing well. I also can't wait until we are the ones posting about our "gas pains" and post op experiences. This site has become such an obsession for me but also such and encouraging place! It is like a new little family out there! I really enjoyed reading about the 2 girls who met each other on this site and are now walking together in their hospital in Mexico! How cool is that!:confused1:

I have lost 15 pds so far in my pre-op diet. July 15th is the big day, can't wait. Seems a little unreal still. I have a hard time picturing myself being succsesfull because I have tryed EVERYTHING and works for a bit then nothing. I realize their is a big difference in what I am try next but still...it's a head game.

OMG!!! i'm getting so excited!! reading everyone's posts just reaffirms everything for me that i've been feeling! i start my pre-op diet tomorrow and i'm going to take my "before" photos tonight! good luck to everyone in the upcoming days...........yay!!

Good Job everyone ! I started pre op diet today it went good, I didnt know carb count for fruit, so I may have went over a bit from that, but I bought a book.

Two weeks! I started the pre-op diet a couple days ago, and so far it's going ok. We don't have to do liquids, just really low-carb. I can't wait to be on the loser's bench.

July 15th!!!! A couple of days into the preop diet - hasn't been too bad unless I am around something that smells really good, though I know it is just head hunger because I am surprisingly not all that hungry right now - just restless. Can't wait to be on the loser's bench with everyone else!!

I'm so excited for you guys... your gonna do great!!!!!! The dieting is hard now but once you have surgery everything will be easier in that arena.... no feeling empty all the time..o insatiable hunger... no blood sugar dips...

Once you get over those first hurdles of gas and swelling and all the crazy leak fears (I was a little paranoid and hypocrondriacle) life will be fabulous

good luck

stacey

I am one week post-op and I am 30 lbs. lighter! The 30 lbs. also includes what I lost during the pre-op diet.

I have been really lucky with my recovery. To be honest, I felt as good when I got home from surgery as I did when I left for surgery. I don't have any restriction drinking, as some has. I have only felt hungry once post-op. I think it was due to gas instead of a real hunger pang. I have even been fishing twice since surgery.

Good job Redneck! I can't wait to be done next week - I hope I can feel as well as you have!

I am 3 days into pre op. I bought pizza for dinner tonight, I had to smell it all the way home . I ate a salad and KFC grilled chicken.

Im so excited for you Mellifrits. I cant believe you havent told anyone, Its probably better though many people get really nervous. I have twin daughters and they are a bit stressed about it (They are 29). Have a safe trip on your way to a new you ! which hospital ?

Thats so exciting. Im a little worried about the trip home I have a 2 hr layover I couldnt get non stop. So how good am i going to feel? will i be able to walk ok ?
