Am I In The Green Zone Or Sweet Spot?
I am a bit confused here....Why in the world would you go to McDonalds and order this food. If you were eating your protein you would probably not be hungry...but you added french fries and a sundae!! lol....I don't think you need a fill, I think you just need to eat the proper foods. Your band is a tool for you...you still have to make good and healthy food choices!! Just my advice

Just Joined Am I Feeling Normal?
I work as a teacher's assistant, I did my surgery during the summer with no work. I did not feel like doing anything for first 2 weeks. My advice to you....You need to get some protein in you. If you are still on liquids, you should be including protein drinks. If you live near a GNC, they have Isopure drinks...they have 160 calories and 40 g of protein...trust me you will feel better if you can get in at least 60 g a day!! Minimum of 60. Also, Costco has premier protein shakes...160 calories with 30 g of protein. Drinking juice and fruit smoothie is not going to help!! Just my advice...good luck!!

Anyone? Am I The Only One In April?

Anyone? Am I The Only One In April?
I did alot of reading on this web site before getting my band. I read the positives and the negatives. AND I vowed to myself that I was not going to be a failure!! Abide by all of your surgeons rules and the band will work for you!! My surgeon gave me a book that his nurse made for all his patients...with food stages, Vitamins to take, etc!! I hope that you will have some sort of lapband bible to retain to...good luck to you ladies that are getting banded soon!! I just had my final fill today...as I am almost 2 years post op. Surgeon told me that by now there should be no more fat around my esophagus...if I was to go any tighter, he would be choking my esophagus!! So, this is it for me...my last fill was too much, took out 1 cc 6 mths ago, and put back in .6cc...I should now be at my sweet spot!! We shall see....

Confused At How I Feel After My Fill
My surgeon also told me that when we wake up in the morning our tummy has saliva in it from sleeping. So for me, i have to drink coffee or something hot to wash the saliva down. I am super tight in the morning. Even coffee fills me up...but I drink about 24 oz every morning.

Scared To Death Of Plastic Surgery!
I also felt the same way....There was no way I was having plastics!! But after losing over 100 lbs...my lower body needs some serious help. I cannot stand looking in the mirror. I am scheduled for lower body lift, lipo on thighs, and inner thigh lift in June. I am going to Mexico, as it is too costly in the U.S. I have seen amazing results....once I started researching plastics and looking at everyones before and after pictures, I knew I was going to have mine done!! Am I scared?? Hell ya....but I am much more excited than scared!! If it helps you any....go to makemeheal.com (I think that is the site) it is a good source of infor on plastics. I was told to end our weight loss journey...that plastics is the final stage!! Most people that lose weight will not regain if plastics are involved. Just a thought...good luck

Unfill For Plastics??
What doctor are you using for plastics?

Not Sure About This Last Fill...
I am one of those ones that cannot drink cold liquids in the morning...It has to be coffee. I was tight with a fill one time, you will have pressure in your chest even with fluids. I waited 2 months, thinking it would get better...lost 22 lbs I finally had an unfill, it has been 6 mths since my unfill and I haven't lost a pound. I am going April 10 for one more fill...I would like to lose at least another 10 pounds before plastics in June Good luck to you!

Unfill For Plastics??
I am having a lower body lift and inner thigh lift at the same time in June. No one has mentioned about unfilling my band...Did any of you had to unfill before plastic surgery?? I in no means want to unfill!! Just curious....

When Is The Time Right?
scashe....we must be about the same size, from beginning to now. I started at 290 lbs and i am 5'6 size 26 i am now 178 size 14 pants, small shirts....i still think my thighs are way too large...not much in my belly, but I still have a 3 to 4 inch chunk of skin I can grab around...i am having a lower body lift in June with lipo in my thighs and an inner thigh lift...Surgeon told me he can remove at least 10 lbs...so as soon as the weather gets better, come spring...I will start walking again and try to lose 10 more before the surgery for a total of 20...when I have surgery I will be 2 yrs post op...not sure if I will lose any more but I do not want to get another fill...as I have days now where I dont eat much....btw, my surgeon told me to wait at least 1 yr post op before plastics...so for me, 2 yrs is good

Hurray For Me

Visible Port Bump After Tummy Tuck?
I am planning on having a lower body lift in June and my surgeon told me that if my port shows after he pulls my skin tight, that he would add tissue around the port area...not quite sure what that all meant, but he assured me that it would not show.

Sleeve Vs Lapband ? Help
So, I am clearly confused.....Fluffy, do you even have a band?? There is absolutely nothing in your profile that states your surgeon, your weight....nothing!!! I am just curious....what your starting weight is, did you lose anything at all?? When did you get banded...etc, etc!! Then maybe some of us can have more of an understanding about why the band is NOT working for you....

Sleeve Vs Lapband ? Help
I totally agree with you, Elcee....I Lovvvvve my band. It has saved me, I read alot on this forum before my surgery. And just because 1 or 2 people had negative thoughts about their band did not stop me. I was determined to make mine a success. If you are not losing weight, then you need to go back to your surgeon and talk to him. Your band is a tool...if you are still eating junk food or high carb foods then you probably wont lose weight. Even with having this wonderful tool, I know that I have to watch what I eat...My weight right now goes up and down about 3 pounds...I have never had any regrets...Fluffy, I dont see where you have posted any progress...when were you banded? did you lose weight and then gain back?? What exactly is it that you dont like about it? And for $15,000 why would you just let it sit there and do nothing....you really need to contact your surgeon! Good luck!

Would You Do It Again?
I just scheduled my lower body lift with Dr Quiroz at Cosmed in Mexico. My surgery is June 21...I am super excited and scared at the same time...but I have seen some fabulous results and I really need it...lol
-
Had My Surgery December 19th!
congrats on your plastics. I had a virtual consult with Dr Quiroz in Mexico. He wants to do a lower body lift, lipo on thighs, and inner thigh lift...all at same time, if there is enough time. I think it is too much to do at once, but I would hate to have to wait another year to get my thighs done. When you say you had lower body lift, did your surgeon make incision all the way around?? Some people say lower body lift, but only have tummy tuck...so just curious. I have all summer off, so planning on going to MX around June 20 or so...I still need to schedule my appt. I am planning on staying there for 10-12 days...hoping that drains and stitches will be gone before flying back home!! Glad to hear you are back at work after 2 weeks...I was worried the 8 wks I would have off wouldn't be enough time for recovery...lol

Body Lift Tomorrow ! Nov 1 and my B'Day
I am planning on getting a lower body lift at the end of May, beginning of June. I just received a quote from Dr Quiroz in Mexico....$4,000 for lower lift and $2,500 for inner thigh lift. I will be calling his office within the next 2 weeks or so to schedule my plastics )

TOO TIGHT
I recently just went through all this being tight. I am 16 mths post op, received a fill on Aug 11 which brought me up to 7 cc's in band. I was at 5 cc's. I literally had pain with the tiniest of sips of fluids, I could only eat slider foods...a very small amount. 2 peanut m&ms and I was full...my Vitamins filled me up. I did this for 2 mths, thinking it would get better...I finally had dr take out 1 cc. I had lost 22 lbs in the 2 mths. I am on my last 20 lbs...and havent lost any since he took out the 1 cc I can tell you from experience that you should not be throwing up, it is not normal. But yes you can be tight with small amount of Fluid in band...did your dr put some in when you first had surgery?? Maybe you just didn't know it! good luck
