  1. Boo I feel for you with the kids! But maybe they'll be little mommas and baby their momma I go next Wed for my pre-op testing. Which is good, this weekend will fly by and then taking wed. off will make the whole week go faster.
  2. I remember the girl having me sign that paper and she said it never happens, in the 10 years she's been there theres only been one or two problems with ins. coming back saying no after it had already been pre-authorized. Its a scarey thought tho. I was thinking yeah my luck I'd be that one in a million.
  3. I'm really looking forward to the day of surgery when they mark you all up to show where or what they are going to cut off. Thats got to be alot more fun then wearing the g-string!
  4. LOL the things we put ourselves through all in the name of beauty.
  5. [quote name=beversman;806867 I am now on week #5 of my personal training. I got my brand new program tonight. With the different type of crunches that I do. I am doing almost 170/night. I run 40 minutes minimum per night now. I do an hour of weight training 4 nights a week. I still have not lost an ounce with all of this. I am stronger. I have more stamina. So' date=' it is working. But the fat is not going anywhere. UGH frustrating. It will have to start working eventually!/quote] :tt2: Is that what being in love does to a girl??? I'm so happy you found this guy, its just so good to hear the joy in your words! Don't worry about the weight, seriously its how you look and feel that matters. I'm still about 18 lbs from being a "normal" bmi but I feel good about my size now, just the tummy and we know thats soon to be gone - But as far as weight goes, I never expected to get below 150, even tho I know its not a normal bmi weight, bc I know how my daughters look and what they weigh and my AGE! and body shape, all that comes into account. So just focus on being fit and healthy and sexy for your marine. Ginger - its so good to have you with us. Sweethot has a couple little girls around your girls ages. I know thats a busy time, enjoy the time at the gym. I always loved bedtime..hehe.. my kids had set bedtimes year round, they'd get to bed and I'd have a bubble bath. What does your dh dive for? Sounds interesting. Like the Titanic or is he an underwater welder? My scale isn't moving this week, I hope its pms - tom is due on Monday and I'm always pms-ing the week before so I'm hoping that it'll move next week. I'm actually up a pound or two - ugh. I know I'm not overeating so its not real weight. Stupid scales - I don't think I'm going to get down to where the ps wanted me to be. I dont' know what else to do, he's just gonna have to chop off a couple more pounds. Hubster is coming home today, he's been working out of town this week, he didnt' think he'd be home until Sunday but looks like he'll get to go fishing this weekend. I haven't cooked all week or even run the dishwasher! Call me a lazy dog.
  6. So Ginger tell us all about you! I bet dh will be pleasantly suprised to see a skinny hot woman! Do you have kids, what state are you and do you work outside the home? Fill us in girl! Jill - how exciting!!! Since you already have a boy and a girl do you have a preference for this one? I'm kinda leaning toward a boy for my first grandbaby but I'd love a little girl too - its just been so long since our family has had a boy. I just want a grandbaby! I hope you think of me while you are cruising - I'll be laying home in pain! As for the breastfeeding - I would tend to side with the unfill theory. It takes so many calories to produce milk, I know the weight always dropped off me when I nursed. And I had gained 50 lbs with each of them! Speaking of which - Nikki hows that going for you? Are you still nursing and losing weight? How do you pronouce the babies name Kai? Like Kay?
  7. WELL!!! Its about damn time you all post!!! I was holding us together by a series of stupid posts! Ginger welcome - only one requirement... you must post! I'm so happy to read you all! Nikki the pics of the babe aren't up. I'm running to yahoo to check out your pics. Bman - I'm so happy for you! Sounds like LOVE! Va - sorry the "friend" is being a jerk. He sounds like he just needs time. Hopefully your job offers will come through. Now we need Jill - Annie - Sweet - Claud - BK - Kaydoll - Faith... I know I'm missing some, but you all know who you are - get back here and check in!!! My tummy tuck is coming soon! Flipping excited here! My youngest dd passed her state boards for cosmotology yesterday. I'm very proud of her. This month has been flying by with all the activiites and dinners that go with being a senior. Seems like theres something every night! But its all so bittersweet having my baby graduating. Its starting to sink in, I'll probably go into a dark depression the first week of June. Or I'll be dancing in the streets! LOL Its sad to see them grow up and yet its a relief to see them grow up.
  8. Thanks LJM! The time is coming up fast. I knew April would fly by bc of working full time and just so much going on. It seems like theres something going on every night! In fact last night my dd, her boyfriend and I went to dinner to celebrate her passing her state boards for cosmotology and I said I havent' cooked since Sunday! Its been something every night! Just a sample of my week - Monday work, daughters track meet, grab something to eat on the way home - Tuesday work, support group meeting, rushed to the track to walk with friends, grabbed something on the way home, Wed. work, took a quick nap when I got home (exhaustion starting to set in), out to dinner to celebrate, Thursday (tonight) work, daughters track meet, grab something to eat on way home again, Friday work, going to dinner with daughter in law and to the movies, Saturday, will be trying to catch up on the house and hopefully hubby will be home from working out of town, daughters dinner for Fire Queen. Sunday will be church and an afternoon nap! I know you all live life like this too - just a part of being a mom. I just get myself really stressed out when I can't do it all. Like the week I'm recovering from surgery - its going to be so hard to sit home when I know theres places to be. Its just that this is my baby's last year for it all - my last year for it all. Really my last month of it all, when she graduates thats it. Life as I know it will change. The surgery is happening right in the middle of her busiest month, and my most emotional month.
  9. Becky I'm sorry it was so traumatic for you. I was a little shocked at my first visit and they gave me those little panties too. But they also gave me a robe so I wasnt' completely bare. Then at the 2nd consult (different doctor) I was able to keep my top half on. Its embarrassing but I figure a little embarrassment now to save me tons of it later is worth it. Becky is your insurance co. covering a full tt or just the pannectolomy? I am very fortunate that mine is covering the full tt. For those wondering if insurance will cover it, I didnt' have pics of my rashes but I told him that I use a fungal cream and that when I roll over the skin tears, I can't jog bc of the slapping of skin... stuff like that. I would definitely document it by going to pcp and even just taking your own pics.
  10. Kat - thanks for the advice I wasn't even really thinking about getting the house ready. Well other then getting the laundry done up and the house cleaned. But I have a couple of daughters to do that stuff My oldest is coming home from college that weekend and then the younger is almost 18 so they will keep up with the house and suppers. The chair beside the bed is a good idea. I have a built in hairdresser, my youngest just passed her state boards yesterday, so she's my stylist. I go 2 weeks from today - yay!
  11. Thanks Becky! You are welcome to ask as many questions as you want! I've been excited from the start, well from the insurance approval, and as the days count down and I get closer and closer I'm really getting giddy. Two weeks from today I'll be getting the flat tummy I've only ever dreamed about.
  12. Hey Boo look at our countdown tickers - yay! I'm sooooo excited!
  13. Ok - that was my fault I have my screen resolution set to high (or low) if I change it I can see you but I have to wear my glasses so I looked and then changed it back. Looking good! We're proud of you girlfriend!
  14. Theres a freaking banner across your face - all I see is the top of your head and your elbow. I emailed Alec and told him about it - get the freaking ad off my Boo!
  15. What about TOM - I am always WAY tighter then. I can never eat in the morning either, no way could I do oatmeal but if you are just trying to maintain maybe you better get in there and get some taken out. Its a shame its such a drive for you. I've only lost about 7-8 lbs since my last fill and I'm already loosened up and feeling hungry faster. Its crazy how these things affect each of us differently.
  16. I've had 7 fills and my last one took me to 8cc's. I'm too tight and the only reason I havent' been in to get a little out is bc I'm having a tt on May 1st and will be getting a complete unfill on April 30th. When I go back in I plan on having him put in 7.5 - I think that will be pretty close to my sweetspot. I'm close enough to goal and feeling good about myself that maintaining is more important to me then the losing.
  17. Sweethot - so good to hear from you - dont' be gone so long, we miss you! I miss all of you when you dont' check in. Speaking of which - BMAN - CLAUDIA - VA - where are you girls!?? I got an email from our own dear Nat - she's stressed. Work is killing her and making her stress eat - she said to tell you all hi. She also promised to try to check in but since she can't get on at work anymore its hard to check in at night. So I'm keeping our thread alive hoping you all start posting again. Love ya girlfriends!
  18. Karri - I think I would opt for #1 - I have found that I usually pb bc I havent' chewed my food properly or I have eaten too fast. I find it hard to believe that your band would suddenly tighten up, although you didnt' say when you had your last fill. But thats just my opinion and you know your body better then anyone, so do what you think is best.
  19. Boo I read that your pic was at the top (I guess where Rachel Ray was heheh) but I don't see it, I have advertizing covering the pic :huh2: I want to see it too!
  20. yes you are! You inspire all of us to do better. I agree with everything you said. The whole tracking thing is the way to get control. Just something about putting it down and being honest helps get you back on track. And of course exercise - calories in vs calories out - thats the plan for any weight loss.
  21. oh - and LJM has great advice - she's the queen!
  22. Mommi-Hammi - I fear that I'll go through that too. I am getting unfilled the day before my surgery and already scheduled a refill for a week after surgery - I have a little over 2 weeks until surgery and I've already been dreaming of what I'll eat during my "unfill" - slap me now!!! Tonight my dd had a track meet, on the way home we stopped, I got a salad (which I havent' eaten yet) dd ate a hotdog and ff's, dh had a monster burger and o-rings - in my head I'm thinking its been HOW long since I ate a greasy chili dog and FRIES! Then I'm thinking when I get my unfill I'm going to drink a coke! I'm freaking mental! is it any wonder I was fat? All that said ... all I have to say is I feel for ya Sista!!!!
  23. Thanks for the reply Neal. My goal is to waterski, I'm hoping if I have my tt May 1st that by the end of summer I'll be able to get up. I haven't skiied in 30 years, I know it takes alot of arm and leg strength but I'm afraid the tummy might feel it too.
  24. :smile2::tongue: Too Funny! :wink2::lol:
