  1. You go girl. Doesn't it feel good to shop and not feel like running from the store because nothing fit? I am starting to like my body now, so I know how you feel. Keep up the good work.

Yes it does!!!! I can't wait for my pants size to get smaller

  2. You're not supposed to do anything but walk for the first 4 weeks, so it's more than likely the Zumba that caused it to flip, where you lifting things too? Either way all the best to you for a speedy recovery and getting back to that Zumba!

no i wasn't lifting anything  Just doing zumba and walking but i am going to just stick with walking i will do zumba in november

  3. I'm not nervous now someone cleared it up for me they had it happen to them it has something to do with fatty tissue when they attach your port to it, i must have lost some of that tissue which caused it to flip and they don't have to go through all those incisions again i'll only have one, so I feel good about it, i started to think i made a bad decision, but im good now

  4. WOW! you can do Zumba? I havent even tried that! Just figured i would never make it through....maybe i will try?? thnx for thr encouragement!! congrats on the 14 pounds!!

OH yeahhhh I been doing Zumba before I got banded, but I wasn't eating properly. But Now that I am, things should work out. And I love Zumba, and yea I am the biggest one in my class, but I stay on beat and I don't sit it out, because I can do it just like they can. And I tell them when I go there, I'm holding it down for the big girls lol, they laugh and tell me I do so good with the steps, but It's fun, and I figure if Zumba is supposed to help you lose weight then its not just for people that are in shape, its for all of us, and our class is diverse, we have young, old, big, small, not so big, not so small, african american, caucasian, hispanic, asian...its a diverse class. So anyone would feel comfy, ..besides even if it wasn't..i will still get my dance on lolll , but do itt itss sooo much fun, you can start with the zumba dvds first if you want to try it out, or actually what I did before i purchased my dvds was looked it up on youtube and do it with them. Anyway yOU CAN DO ITTT

  5. I agree with you, when I first made my decision I was going to keep it a secret, but I figure I am making a great decision. I see that you have lost a lot of weight from this and I have hopes. To my surprise though all my friends and family supported me, but some did have some concerns and I answered all their questions and they feel safe about my decision.

  6. God Bless you as your body heals and your spirits improve after the surgery! You will begin to adjust and grow use to the idea you are now banded! When the weight starts to come off, you will be so happy that this was your choice, I am one year out and down 91 lbs. It really changes your life for the better.

Thanks alot , and you are my inspiration! I feel I made the right choice.

  7. My doctors told me to walk an 15 mins an hour if i wasnt sleeping to get the gas from the surgery out.. if you feel in pain in your shoulders or neck the gas is moving walking takes it all away.. Congrats again on your surgery..

Thank you! Yeah you right when I was walking yesterday I felt so much better. I will do it in a few moments again.

  8. Congratulations on being banded.. But why are you taking pills? You should have received liquid pain meds and if not prescription then liquid tylenol. It's very important to not put solids in right now as they can get stuck or add to your swelling and slow your healing process.

The bleeding is worrisome' date=' were you sleeping on your stomach? Did you look at your incisions? Did you bust some stitches? Glad you're not in pain...here's to a rapid recovery![/quote']

I crushed up the pills in my jello because I know i can't be doing that. My doc told me to take my bandages off late this evening. Thanks :)

  9. You have a great attitude for the LB Journey you will need it. Do NOT let someone in your way of SUCCESS. NO ONE!!! You will do this for yourself and no other. It is a huge decision and when I made it, it changed my life. Your life will be forever changed. I have lost 100 pounds in less than a year and I look different people who know me do not recognize me. Best wishes imaluckydog

Thats GREAT! WOW 100 lbs is a major accomplishment, you give me HOPE!

  10. I started my Zumba classes last saturday. When I first did it my calves were killing me for two days. It was fun and I didn't quit, I kept going. I did it today and I got a little used to it, my calves feel like bats lol. My favorite song in Zumba class is Pusha Pusha by Axe..I Love that dance and I need to know by Marc Anthony has always been my favorites. Anyway, I am preparing myself towards a better me. I don't know when the surgery will be, but when I find out I will let you guys know.:tongue::confused::tongue::scared2::tongue::thumbup:

  11. Okay first of all, I have only told a limited amount of people that I was getting the LAP-BAND®: Mom, Three close friends, Two close co-workers and now my Supervisor knows only because I have to turn in my FMLA for whenever I get my surgery, but my supervisor supports me because she was thinking of getting it too.

Now my best friend that I live with was saying that when people get these surgeries they look sick and it's lazy, and this was said during the time were all out to eat with her cousin, and her cousin is agreeing with her and everything, so I didn't say anything at all. Matter of fact I changed my mailing address so my Weight Loss Surgery mail can be sent to my Post Office box because I don't want her trying to change my decision or giving me any negative feedback. I decided I wasn't telling anyone else, I am going to get it, and if she see that i'm losing weight...whatever. Because I lost 10 lbs by cutting out fried and sweet products and exercising about 3 to 4 times a week..and I have been doing this for 4 weeks now going on. So I think I am taking this LAP-BAND® seriously, because I realize it's a tool and I realize I have to change my lifestyle.

  12. Stay positive sweetie, you'll get there...just believe that you can do it and you will be shopping in there with your friends before you know it...except there will be a major difference.....they'll all be wishing they could look like you! ;o)

 Thanks Molly...I am really trying. I just came from the gym tonight. I am motivated.
