  1. Woo hooo! Congrats! Best of luck on your journey.
  2. I'd keep the tags on and send them back. I got about 2 weeks of use out of my old clothes. I went from a size 20 to size 16 in 2 months, maybe 3, either way, maybe hold onto a few items, but I'd take a majority of them back.
  3. Try to get in more protein.
  4. More than a cup is considered a lot to me. My doctor focuses heavily on eating a cup of food each meal, no more. Usually I get about 3/4 in and I'm full for hours.
  5. Nope, I'll be losing MUCH more. Thanks for your help, btw.
  6. I'd say 3-4. It wasn't too bad, and it was my first surgery ever. The pain meds really help.
  7. You probably won't find chewable B12. You need to look for sublingal ones.
  8. I use myfitnesspal.com and sometimes fitday, which seems to be a lot more helpful. You can track calories as well as exercise and it'll tell you fat, Protein, and carb amounts as well. I've been stuck at 196.6 (went up ) but I'm down to 196.2 this morning! I upped my calories a tiny tiny bit since I am burning more. Good luck!!
  9. I'm not sure how to get 1200 calories a day. That is A LOT. I bumped it up to 800 yesterday and felt miserable, like I was forcing myself to eat more than I wanted. Yet, I was losing just fine eating 600 calories before I started this new exercise. Thanks for your help! I'll bump it up a little but 1200 calories is almost double of what I'm eating now. I don't see that happening!
  10. You're doing awesome! That's a loss of 2lbs a week, and you really can't ask for more. You can try increasing the intensity level of your exercise as well as using weights and mixing up your calories, that may help. But really, you're right on track! Also remember that sometimes you'll lose inches and not weight. This has been happening to me a lot lately.
  11. I've been doing the Slim in 6 series, I'm on the last section of it. It says that it burns about 800 calories. However, I'm only eating about 650 a day, and I've noticed the scale slooowly creeping up. Is this probably because the workout is pretty high cardio + weights? I'm not an expert so I'm unsure if it's me not eating enough or if it's me possibly gaining lean muscle. I'm not lifting anything heavy, 5lb weights on each hand but I do see more definition. Any ideas/advice from the exercise geniuses?
  12. Wow that's awesome!! Great accomplishment.
  13. I take Centrum chewables as well.
  14. Slim and Limber from the Slim in 6 series is good. If not, YouTube some stretches! Kudos to doing stretching. I always give up on it.
  15. I usually weigh myself each morning, but I really need to stop! The scale has been going up slowly, like .2 a day or so. I'm guessing it's because I'm doing high cardio w/ weights and building lean muscle. I'm definitely losing inches as I'm down from size 20 to 16s and size L shirts. So upping the calories a bit to about 800 and hopping off the scale. Hopefully it starts to go back down!
  16. I feel awesome!! 50lbs off of you really feels great, though I never imagined I'd be 50lbs lighter this quickly. It's definitely the best decision I've made yet. I ran across Dr. You when I was looking for a local surgeon too. I went with Dr. Singh though. He's truly a blessing. Hopefully your doctor proves to be great as well :tt2: If you have any questions/just wanna chat, feel free to message me.
  17. Congrats! You really are doing great. Slow loser or not, the numbers truly show how well you're doing. Keep on going! :tt2:
  18. Good luck!!! You'll do great. Congrats on being banded. Just remember to sip sip sip and walk when you can! It really helps.
  19. Congrats and good luck on your approval/journey! I never had to go through the waiting for approval process. My insurance company basically told me yes over the phone. Here's to you getting approved! :tt2:
  20. Welcome! :tt2: The six months will fly by, really! Congrats on deciding to get banded. Take in as much info as you can here, there are really a lot of helpful people.
  21. Yay! Congrats. 10 more days. Good luck on your journey!!
  22. Congrats! It's good that you've decided to try to get healthy again. A tummy tuck really wouldn't have done you any good, especially if you don't know how to eat properly/exercise to keep the weight off. Good luck and hopefully you'll be happier and healthier in college!
  23. Congrats Jess! I'm a little younger than you but we're both from MD, exciting. :tt2: Can I ask what surgeon you're considering working with? Awesome job on starting your journey. It's nice to have someone else around you who can help you through it all! I can say it's definitely one of the best decisions I've made.
  24. I eat normally too :tt2: Anyways, congrats on finding what works for you and good luck.
