Tracytma got a reaction from judymcd69 in 6 weeks today, on a 4 week STALL! HELP!
Ok, so, I'm 6 weeks today. I was prepared for the dreaded 3 week stall, so when I didn't lose week in week 3, I was ok. then it went on...and on... Now, 6 weeks out and I've only lost weight in the first 2 weeks post op. I lost 16 pounds in those two weeks, but COME ON! My clothes are looser, however what's going on? I know our bodies freak out because we're in starvation mode, but it's got to let go of some of this sooner or later! I'm following all the rules: Water, Protein, eat slowly, Protein first, low carbs etc. Also, I walk every day. Has anyone gone through this and any good suggestions? Thanks!

Tracytma reacted to Bluesky1 in 4 weeks out, stalled
You're not alone. It's been one month since surgery (Feb. 23rd) and I lost in the first 17 days, and then only 2 lbs since. And it's not moving. How long does the stall usually last? Because 3 weeks has become 4 weeks.

I'm not at goal yet, but doc said he would be happy with me staying at this weight---158. I want to get to at least 144 which will put me at a healthy bmi....but in all honesty would love to see what 125 looks like. I had surgery in November 2016, so only 4 months out from surgery ---but have been losing since July 2015.

Thank you! I haven't had any plastic surgery for skin removal. I work out quite a bit, I'm only 27, and have good skin along with good genes, I suppose. I have a tiny bit of excess skin on my lower tummy, but it isn't noticeable in clothing. I also have a small amount on my upper arms, but nothing that will really be noticeable to anyone besides myself Yes, I had the sleeve.

congrats on having a positive outlook in addition to taking advantage of those positives by recognizing the things you would have not considered prior to the procedure vs how things our now.
At my 2month visit with my NUT, before leaving she asked me "Do you think this was worth it" I said hell yes.. despite:
not being able to each as much First time having acid re flux issues tossing up my meal when I eat to fast or to much watching everyone else eat more than me cooking dinner that I can only nibble from I now:
only take 3 medications instead of 7 can walk on the treadmill for 55min or more (never did that before 20min was my best prior and I had to work hard to do that) can wear clothes in my closet I thought was a forgone conclusion can out walk my kids and dog can fit through the shower door without touching the sides can look down and see my willy and his friends more and more as weeks go by am longer completely out of breath going up a flight of stairs and I expect to add more to the "I now" section as the months go by.

I am right there with you all.
Not one day have I thought
"Why did I do this"?
I feel so much better, look better & know that I have extended my life by doing this. I just returned from a 10 day vacation. Went on a cruise & was surrounded by food 24/7. I managed to stay on track with little effort. Life is good and I'm happy to be on this ride with you all. ????
